Kira Finster
- [Chuckie is sitting on his bed and crying because Kira has washed Wawa, thus changing his physical appearance]
- Chuckie Finster: Wawa's different. He's different all over.
- [bows his head and cries; Kira comes in]
- Kira Finster: Hi, Chuckie. Well, I guess washing Wawa wasn't the best idea. You know, there's still a lot about you I don't know yet...
- [picks him up]
- Kira Finster: ... like your favourite sandwiches or your favourite games or the songs or stories you like. You know, those things may take a while. What I *do* know is I love you very much.
- [pats his head]
- Kira Finster: I hope that'll do till I get the other things sorted out.
- [Chuckie giggles; Kira hugs him; they laugh and she kisses him]
- Didi Pickles: Is everything OK with Chuckie?
- Kira Finster: I don't know, Didi. I just feel like... we're not connecting.
- Didi Pickles: Maybe Lipschitz can help. I'll call the 1-800 number and see if they can recommend a book.
- [Didi rings the Finsters' doorbell; Kira opens the front door]
- Kira Finster: Didi! What a surprise.
- Didi Pickles: [holds out a green book] I brought you a little present. Lipschitz recommends this book: Step Up to Step-Parenting.
- Kira Finster: [takes the book] Oh, that's great. Come on in.
- Didi Pickles: [chuckles] Oh, thanks, but I'd better get back. Stu's robotic salad spinner's already broken two windows.
- [leaves]
- Kira Finster: [opens the book as she closes the door] "Chapter One: Make your new child feel welcome by performing thoughtful gestures." Hmm...
