It was one of the worst, if not The worst, episodes of the season for me. I appreciate their focus on Nia and the slow setup of Kelly's Guardian but it's really hard to focus on the positives when there's so many negative/annoying things surrounding them. Sometimes, I think that either the showrunners or the writers' room didn't get the memo that there is no season 7.
What is Kara's storyline this season? Why is she used as a plot device for other characters? Why does Nia feel like more of a lead this season than Kara? This is not the Dreamer show. Why is Kara so dumbed down acting like a mentee for William when she is already a Pulitzer winning journalist? They should be equals or Kara should be the one teaching and guiding him. And when are we going to see her dealing with her trauma?
Where is Lena? Why do you have the fan favorite character away from her found family for so many episodes of the final season? What was the reason of making her a valuable member of the Superfam if you're gonna separate her from everyone as you always do. It's so disrespectful to the fans And to Katie who always ends up being away from the rest of the cast and we know from interviews that she hates it.
Where is M'gann? I understand that the actress is not a regular but why was her sudden disappearance never explained on screen?
Why is Alex so surprised by Kelly's abilities? She is the Olsen that was in the army. She already has the training? What was the reason for introducing her as a ex-military member if you're gonna act like she's some newbie to combat?
Are you going to explain the fact that Dansen have a new shared apartment or it's another one of those "too nice so we did it offscreen" things? Will they get endgaged off-screen too?
Why are Alex and Kelly not allowed to be more physical with each other on screen? Why are they never allowed to passionately kiss each other, make out with each other or have scenes in bed with each other? Like almost every het couple on this network. Remember that one Arrow scene with Oliver and Felicity? This is what we would like to see.
Why is no one checking on Nia? The girl is clearly struggling and not even one of her friends reached out to her. Is this how friendships look according to the writers? It's so weird how Andrea of all people seemed to be the only one noticing Nia's worrying state. And why is she written to feel bad for her sister when Maeve was the one who was transphobic to her and Nia did nothing wrong?
Why are you bringing all these new characters and making the episodes about them when we are in the final season and you should be using the precious time to wrap up the storylines of the main characters on the show?
Where is Lex? Why is no one talking about him? Why is no one wondering what he's up to? He's gonna show up at some point and once again have the upper hand because you make the Superfriends look like idi9ts by not keeping an eye on the most dangerous and villainous person in the world.
Why is Acrata not used more? No one cares about William. Out of the two unecessary s5 additions Andrea is the viewers favorite. Why aren't you giving her more to do on screen?
When are we gonna see Kara and Lena actually talking with each other and healing their relationship? One hug and a few big one-liners and suddenly they are back to being besties? Or are you afraid that if you let them interact you won't be able to deny that they are in love with each other (because that's the only logical conclusion Your writing suggests)?
And finally, why is the network not promoting the final season? Why is there no promo for next week after the episode airs? It's happened three times in a row now. It's so insulting to the cast and the crew who all worked hard to finish this show during the pandemic.
