A Beautifully Unique Anime

I've been skating for years now and this anime is so refreshing. Not only does it not contain many of the common anime tropes. But it actually keeps me entertained fully. The OST is a banger. The animation is pretty great. And the skating is accurate to real life for the most part. Overall a solid ass anime

As we can see on the first episode Reki is introduced as the main character, but unfortunately that doesn't age well since the rest of the episode is focused on langa who's introduced more later on the ep. Over all it's a good show (from the first episodes) and has actually good animation for what it is. Though as I said I wished they focused a bit more on Reki since his not getting any spot light on the show (maybe I'm being impatient and their doing that on future ep). Oh and also, another bonus point is the opening. It's a banger fr B) So imo I'd give this anime an 7,8 / 8 (around there)

One of the anime I enjoyed watching the most Langa and Ricky made us the best friendship I recommend.

I wish I could lose my memory to watch it again.

Uhhh... I love this anime a lot, its so good. The plot is very interesting, the art style is gorgeous and it super fun to watch. I watched it twice in 1 day its so good. Would totally recommend this to everyone and its still on going which makes it more suspenseful, Cant wait to see the new episode!!!

Never would've thought an anime based on skateboarding would so funny and enjoyable. I highly recommend people check out this anime as it's an underrated gem!!

One Of the coolest anime out there! The characters are so fun and unique. Reki and Langa are the best main characters I've seen in a while and the story is so contagious. I love skateboarding and this serie it's just everything I wanted to watch. Thank you so much for this masterpiece

Skating and Bro Love

The RADdest anime of Winter 2021 just finished. An anime about skateboarding and bromance.

I don't know anything about skateboarding, but the animation made each skating scene cool and action-packed. Of course as a sport anime, the skating techniques and moves were ridiculous, but for sure rad.

The characters were one of the weak aspect of the show. The two main boys Langa and Reki had great chemistry, and I rooted for their bromance relationship. However, the villain was the most interesting character. He gave a major vibe of characters in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and he was an obsessive character to the point of pretty creepy.

His story could have been made better if the back story wasn't so poorly made. The villain was a skater at night, but he was a businessman during the day. His company was being suspected by the police, and a detective tried to investigate the company. This story was irrelevant and had no connection to the skating at all.

Overall, a fun skateboarding anime filled with bromance, but the story was problematic. 7/10.

Just here to say that its a good anime i just rated it with a 6 bc its not my type, but it is good <3. Also theres a lot of beautiful scences and some reality into the feelings :c.

This anime was really heartwarming and I *loved* the found family trope in it. The characters were great and the animation was top-notch. I absolutely loved the friendships between the different characters and they added so much fun to the show.

The only complaint I have against this is that the ending seemed really abrupt and it left me feeling quite unsatisfied. I think it would've been better if there were an additional few episodes just to tie in everything nicely. I really hope there'll be a S2!

Good characters but the antagonist is...

Perverted beyond belief. Langa and Reki are great, and so are a lot of the other side characters. The skating starts out pretty realistic and gets more unbelievable throughout. I ended up not watching the whole thing because the adult antagonist, a creepy guy who calls himself the 'love matador' in skating, is making advances on a 17-year-old boy at the same time as he sadistically loves causing him pain and fear. He never gets punished for it, either. He gets off scot-free in the end with no one holding him accountable for his nearly pedophilic behavior (he acts the same way towards a boy who couldn't be more than thirteen or fourteen, Miya). He has a similar perverted relationship with his main assistant, a man who is intensely loyal to him but who he would rather hurt and say nasty things to than be kind. He touches young male characters inappropriately while skating on several occasions and the whole anime is a 'redemption arc' for him that just consists of him having fun skateboarding without feeling the need to cause serious bodily harm to his opponents. Sorry, but that's not redemption. He either needs serious therapy, since his sadism and other issues supposedly stem from abuse when he was a child, or he needs to go to jail.

Irreplaceable, Beautiful, unique, and pure!

This must be the BEST anime I have seen by far! It's like no other in my opinion. It's unpredictable and it contains all the requirements to make an enjoyable anime! Great animations, great writing and plot, great music, great characters and character developments, and some humor here and there! Overall, just perfect!! It's for sure a 10/10 in my eyes! To be honest I've gotten really attached to it ever since I began watching it, It's my comfort anime now, and now that season ones over, I'm kind of heartbroken. Although there was a happy ending that's not enough for me!! WE NEED SEASON TWO!! IT'S SUCH AN IRREPLACABLE ANIME, IF WE DON'T GET SEASON TWO, I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'LL DO!! Anyone who's contemplating whether or not they should watch it, WATCH IT!! You wont regret it!! It's the best! Thank you to all the beautiful minds who were behind the creation of this masterpiece, sk8 the infinity brought so much joy and I will never forget that. God bless.

Skating taken on an another level

SK8 is no doubt an amazing sports anime that came out this year, with lots of energy, friendship and battles that will enthrall you and will keep you at the edge of your seat. Although it's only 12 episodes, but I loved every part of it since it never stopped being exciting.

Starting with the leads, Reki and Langa had a great bond from the start which stayed till the end and of course their fun through skating which improved Langa to an another level. The lead characters were amazing, while Adam, the antagonist (not really though) could have been written more effectively. He felt as a rip off of Hisoka from HxH and was quite annoying.

The skate battles/beef were amazing, although I felt the final battle between Adam and Langa was a bit too much. The animation is, I can say, one of the best of 2021 and Bones once again proved why they are a big name in Anime Industry.

Overall, the story was basic; doing something for one's own fun, but the execution was very effective with regards to the main characters, animation and the pacing with conclusion within 12 episodes.

My Rating : 9/10.

The whole story has the power to keep you stuck to your screen, it has great animation and really good characters, I loved small pockets of laughter and the banter between the main two.. Just enough and not too much. The whole skating scenes kept you on the edge of your seat and makes you feel like you can skate to, story is completely uncomplicated with no romantic ties shown which makes it a easy and uncomplicated watch. I loved how the story challenge reki character to develop in story giving him time to grow.

All in all it is a packet of entertainment, small giggles and trilling, on the edge of seat skating...

This is the first anime I've ever seen in my life, this is so, so great, it's hard to imagine, it's so impressive that it makes me cry, I'm looking forward to a lot of new parts.

Its very interesting and funny. Interesting because there are 2 friends who practice skating to skate in "S" but they have a rival. A really crazy rival and he's kind of obsessed with skating and takes it very seriously which even makes him injure people. These episodes are really interesting and fun. Like the beach day,the days where Reki was helping his friend practice! Its a cute fun series that would definitely make your day.

It has everything voltron didn't. Anyone can see that the ship renga is CANON (*whispers* vld disappointed us all bcuz there was very little klance D:) This is extremely underrated and I recommend it 100% (especially if u wanna se lgbt content or ships lol)

Yeah don't judge me i would not have started a sport anime if there weren't any bl in it. I am not a fan of on of the most generic genres of anime. While the genre is not as distasteful and obnoxious as is*kai or the fans*evice animes it is still as uneventfull, repetitive and milked dry as those (well honestly fans*rvice could just have never been milked at all and made every person with a brain happier but no let's show yet another scene where the mc falls into a misunderstanding with a female character and get slapped and called a pervert for the 67287y72s66th time cause some incel defines that as humor).

But this anime is actually not one of the generic ones. It is still pretty eventfull and has even though it has some pacing issues it compensates for it by having a few interesting characters. I don't like the main protagonists or some of the cliche side characters but the villain is a really insane one and is one of my favorite, partly because of the VA (both the original and the dub surprisingly) In conclusion it is a pretty good anime but i am not saying it would not have been better if it were a Shounen Ai. But still i guess i would be falling in the minority im this respect.
