My hopes were higher

Now that is some really really poor and lazy writing, producing even directing.

The way they cut through scenes is just so stupid, the way the storyline moves is just bad, not fast in the way you want it to be and surely not slow enough for us to understand what's happening or what's going on!

Travis Fimmel, you're a great actor and i love you but for god's sake grow up of Ragnar's character.

Amanda Collin (mother) did a great job as always!

Season one was actually pretty good. Season two is really falling on its face. I'm starting to wonder how hands on Ridley Scott really is with this project. To be frank if I didn't get HBO Max for free through my ATT cell phone service I'd never watch HBO. Pretty lame content. All the big block buster releaes have been very underwhelming.

However raised by wolves has a chance. But season 2 needed to be strong and already these first two episodes are by far the weakest out of all of them. You can tell besides the main actress that no ones really into it. Travis Fimmel was great in Vikings. But is, I don't know. I don't think it's his fault I just think the director stinks. He's in charge and this isn't getting it done.

I want first seasons original mullets and why is this season looking goofy like early 20s animation movies other than that its watchable but kinda dissapointed because raised by wolves should have been more than watchable.

Great start to the season. The CG at times looked too obvious though. That's my only complaint but even that's not enough to take away a star from the ratings. Enjoy season 2!

Solid Science Fiction

All I can say without ruining it for the reader, it is close to perfection. Not some kid Star Wars affair. The writers and direction introduce a new story of the reintegration of the children in a world that pops with dynamite special effect. They are peeling off the deep layers of Keplar 22b, that inside this world are wonders to be discovered and mysteries unearthed. A top Science Fiction show that should not be missed by any Sci-Fi Fan.

Brave showrunners, you would think in todays Hollywood and how they go after people like Chris Pratt fir being religious a series that pits atheists vs very religious groups would have gone woke and Christian hating very fast.

Well not this one, Season 2 continues the great work of taking no social justice sides and depicts atheists just as cultish and intolerant as some prove to be in real life. A 'believe the science" group that consider themselves atheists but have taken a supercomputer as their god.

Really clever stuff you can find parallels in todays world. Keep it up!

One of the best Sci Fi shows.

I don't understand the poor reviews. These characters are fantastic and the mysteries are engaging. They'll eventually be paid off. Meanwhile just enjoy this awesome show.

Terrible CGI

Just saw a transporter flying through an alien land. Looks like a cut scene from a ~2005 video game. Just terrible.

Even the 'plot' seems more about creating an eerie atmosphere than any actual substance.

Other critical reviews make it clear that I don't need to watch anymore.

A good beginning

Its a nice change of pace, and scenery without taking away what makes the show good There is a lot of sci fi potential and there are still mysteries that remained from s1, while at the same time new ones are introduced smoothly to the lore The characters are pretty good overall - of course Mother father and travis fimmel are killing it - and they all are going in a interesting path.

Good start of the S02

Really good start of the season 2 after pretty terrible S01 finale episode ! RBTW still are as intresting and mysteryious as it was on S01 ! We also have some new intresting characthers !

This is one of the kind of show where you constantly search an answer, the plot itself filled with mystery, reference to ancient legends, secrets - the best ingredient for good show. I hope it will be prolonged to 3rd season since I want to know all answers!

Bad cgi

As a fan of S1 I was disappointed by this episode and the visuals of it. Clearly they don't have a very big budget for the cgi, but they still want to use wide shots of the tropical nature which looks fake and poorly done. All the interior scenes work better and don't distract from the events.

Not a good way to begin a new season.

It's difficult to recall many events from the previous season without a resume; I really enjoyed the first season, but the first episode of the second season seemed rushed, disjointed, and as if the director had switched from one series to another. I'm not here to discuss special effects or actors' performances; I'm here to discuss the story or plot, and I'm sorry, but it's not acceptable to place such important characters in a new setting without providing them with some context. Everything happened too quickly, and it feels more like a reboot of the series than a second season. In any case, by the end of the first episode, you've lost the sense of mystery and disorientation created by the androids, as well as the craziness of unusual factions seeking to kill each other for strange reasons.

Disappoint

I was so excited for season 2 but the way they are ignoring season 1 plot and twists. They are just wanna extend the Series and talk same thing over and over protecting the kids. And low budget quality and choreography is Laughable.

Deserves a Razzie for Special Effects

The shot of the ship flying in the opening scene is some of the best worst CGI I've ever seen. It's clear Ridley Scott has nothing to do with this. Just picture that opening shot from Blade Runner, then pour bleach in your eyes and you've got the scene from this steaming pile of wolf dung.

Was the budget for this slashed? The CGI is amateur at best. The writing is..... hard to swallow. The gut wound on one of the characters seems to have just been forgotten about and written out. I loved season 1. What happened?

Even worse than the first episode of season one

It seems they got the budget and direction they needed, from their experience in the first season. This story needed much more time to tell it properly. This whole show was rushed.

They take no time to explain much of anything. It's basically a dumb, fantasy, which it shouldn't have been. Why do "Mother's eyes" weaponize her. How can she fly?

It's basically, the show "Lost" but designed to suck in Sci-Fi viewers.

I'm not sure I'll make it through the rest of Season 2.

Last season was so bad you had to wonder if Ridley Scott has dementia. His sci-fi tropes are 50 years out of date. Guys--- there are no habitable planets out there. The idiot writer mistook having a planet in the so-called habitable zone for actually being habitable.

I decided to give season 2 a chance, because basically there is zero watchable sci-fi out there, either movie or tv.

I found this episode decent to look at but so utterly stupid and nonsensical that I can't continue. Ocean of acid? Are you kidding me? That's something you'd see in a child's fantasy novel.
