Lucifer tries to enjoy what may be his last day on Earth, Dan's killer escapes from prison, and Chloe drops a serious bombshell.

Lucifer celebrates what he believes is his last day on Earth by visiting each of his friends and telling them what they mean to him. Meanwhile, Dan finds a way to get a physical body and tries to find out why his guilt is keeping him out of Heaven.—Gislef

A prisoner, Vlad, sits in his prison cell, praying. A guard opens his cell door and tells Vlad that it's time, and Vlad asks if his family showed up, including his cat Mr. Miyagi. The guard tells Vlad that they don't allow pets, and escorts him to the to the execution chamber. A lion walks into sight down the hallway, and Vlad calls Mr. Miyagi to him. Around the corner, Jophiel marks off a prayer on his checklist.

Amenadiel tells Lucifer that their siblings are answering prayers, making a mess of it, and that's what's causing the end of the world. All of the supposed signs of the Apocalypse have been caused by the angels' screw-ups, and Amenadiel warns that eventually the screw-ups will cause a catastrophic domino effect. Their siblings won't take orders to stop from anyone but God, and Amenadiel insists that they need Lucifer to ascend the throne.

Lucifer tells his brother that he has his wing situation worked out, and he's realized that being God isn't his calling. Amenadiel becomes angry at the thought of all the years they've wasted and the war they fought, and Lucifer tells him that it was a big decision on his part and deep down he knows it's the right one. Amenadiel says that they need to fix it immediately, but Lucifer figures that everything will be fine.

Dan goes to Vincent's prison cell, and tells Vincent that he's the key to his guilt. Dan is still intangible so Vincent can't hear him, Pondering Vincent, Dan wonders why Vincent killing him would make Dan feel guilty when Vincent is in prison for life, and why he's still there. A guard comes in to take Vincent to the exercise yard, but then the guards panic and run to investigate as Mr. Miyagi goes on a rampage. They leave Vincent's cell door open, and Vincent slips out and escapes.

At the penthouse, Lucifer and Chloe are sleeping next to each other. Lucifer wakes up, smiling, and goes out to greet the dawn. He goes over his to-do list, dances, and makes himself a smoothie. The noise wakes Chloe up, and she dresses and wonders why Lucifer is so happy. He tells her that he's not going to be God, and the world isn't ending. Chloe isn't happy, and tells Lucifer that today's the day that Rory said Lucifer disappears.

They discuss the matter, and Chloe points out that they ruled out Lucifer's murder. Chloe points out that they don't know why Lucifer disappears, but they do know where. They figure as long as Lucifer doesn't go to the address, 10th and Swanson, he won't disappear. They make plans for a beach day for the next day, and Chloe goes to send Trixie to camp and sign her own reinstatement forms,

Rory comes in later and finds Lucifer installing a panic room in his penthouse. He tells Rory that once it's finished, he'll go inside and engage the timelock, so nobody will be able to go in or out until August 4 is over. Rory tells him that there's nothing Lucifer can do to prevent vanishing, because she's still there which means that the events that caused it still happen.

Lucifer isn't convinced and starts to go back to work. Rory tells him that he's supposed to be the king of debauchery, and locking himself in a box is the lamest thing Lucifer could do. Lucifer figures his workers can finish the job for him, and suggests Rory join him to remind him how to have fun in case he's forgotten. Rory considers and then agrees.

Lucifer and Rory spend the day buying an entire bakery's food, wearing sumo suits and fighting, buying an entire jewelry store's jewelry, performing karaoke, having a water balloon fight, dropping water balloons from the penthouse balcony, and watching 'Bones'. Rory says that the spinoff in her time, 'More Bones' is much better, and Lucifer asks for details.

When Rory goes to the bathroom, Chloe comes in with the beach stuff for the next day. She notices all of the baked goods, and Lucifer explains that he and Rory went out and had a good time. Lucifer assures Chloe that they didn't go anywhere near 10th and Swanson, and shows off his panic room. Chloe asks why Lucifer doesn't trust himself enough to not abandon them, and Lucifer says that it doesn't feel quite real. In response, Chloe shows him a pregnancy test she took that reveals that she's pregnant.

Rory comes in and overhears Chloe, and tells them that she's outside as well as inside Chloe. Chloe explains that she's telling Lucifer that he can choose to because she doesn't want to go through the pregnancy without him. Rory tells them her parents that what she wants doesn't matter because it happens and the time loop is already in motion. Chloe insists that Lucifer still has a choice, and Rory figures that Lucifer leaving isn't up to him. When Lucifer says that he doesn't know what to believe, Chloe angrily says that he's accepting that he doesn't have a choice. She tells him to let her know when he chooses them, and walks out.

Later, Rory and Lucifer go to Linda's house and Rory looks at Charlie on the monitor. She goes to see her cousin, and Linda tells Lucifer that she's packing away the clothes that Charlie has grown out of. Lucifer asks Linda if she believes in free will or fate, and Linda wonders if Rory knows what they're going to do, if what they do is set in stone. The therapist figures that Lucifer is asking because he's worried about abandoning Rory, and asks why Lucifer's concern is coming up now. Lucifer explains that Chloe and Rory having conflicting views, and he's trying not to dismiss Rory again. Linda says that none of them know how it's going to end, and that's what makes the present so important.

Linda tells Lucifer that they should seize the moment so those they love can know how they feel about them. He figures that Rory does know, and goes to tell others that don't know the news. Before Lucifer goes, he tells Linda how much he values her as a person, and she's a wonderful friend.

At home, Chloe is reading a book about the physics of time travel. Amenadiel comes to see her and asks if she can convince Lucifer to become God. They both believe Lucifer, and Chloe wonders why Amenadiel doesn't want to become God. Amenadiel says that he wanted to stay among humanity with his child, and Chloe asks why God has to rule from Heaven. He wonders if there's a better way, but figures it would be wrong to leave Sonja by herself. Amenadiel asks if Chloe would be God's "point person" in the LAPD, and Chloe says it would be her great honor to do so. She assures Amenadiel that he'll make the right decision.

Ella is taking down her whiteboard about the celestials, and Lucifer comes in and apologizes to Ella for holding the truth back from her. He says that he never meant Ella to feel excluded, and Ella says that she didn't tell Carol and she's learned that someone doesn't need to know everything to have trust, when you know the person's heart. Lucifer says that he's truly sorry, in case he doesn't have another chance to tell Ella. Ella wonders what that means, and Lucifer says that there's a small chance that he might leave and he doesn't want to disappear from Ella's name without warning again. He gives Ella a gift of a pencil, and says that he's opened up a foundation in her name, and the pencil has the foundation's name on it. The foundation will encourage young women to pursue careers in the sciences. Ella hugs Lucifer and he hugs her back.

Vincent goes to a convenience store and buys hair dye, while Dan watches him and realizes that Vincent is changing how he looks for his mug shot. Dan sees a wanted newscast about Vincent, and tries to get the clerk Josh's attention. Focusing on the TV, Dan manages to turn the volume up. Then he turns and realizes Josh did it with a remote. Josh looks over, sees Vincent, and reaches under the counter for a gun. He draws on Vincent, who easily disarms Josh, takes the gun, and tells Josh to give him the money.

Dan grabs at Vincent and jumps into his body and into control. Dan/Vincent assures John that he won't shoot him, gives the gun back, and Josh takes it and aims at Dan/Vincent. The clerk tells Dan/Vincent to go, and Dan/Vincent leaves.

Lucifer is in Lux making a list, and Amenadiel comes in and suggests that they let their siblings help with guidance. God will have to avoid "mysterious ways", and angels should spend on Earth understanding humanity. The angel says for the first time he knows what God meant when he said they'd figure it out, and being God is what he truly desires. Lucifer congratulates Amenadiel and says he'll support him with their siblings.

Amenadiel asks what Lucifer want to see him about, and Lucifer says that he wanted Amenadiel to sign papers giving him joint ownership if Lux if he disappears. Amenadiel figures that Lucifer wants to spend more time with his family, and figures the angels can mix with humans there. The angel tells Lucifer that he'll find his calling, and Lucifer says that Amenadiel is his favorite brother and will misunderstand him. Amenadiel assures Lucifer that he'll be back in a few days to "set up shop", but points out that someone will be going away for a while.

Maze is preparing her motorcycle with skulls on chains, and a "just married" sign. Lucifer finds her and says that he's come to see her off. The demon points out that it's just a honeymoon to Brazil, and she'll be back in a few weeks. Lucifer opens his arms, and Maze points out that they don't do hugs. She asks what's going on, and Lucifer tells Maze that she doesn't have to worry about him anymore and she's come so far. When Maze wonders what that means, Lucifer says that he's sorry he's always made it about him.

The demon says that she wouldn't have any of her new life without Lucifer, and says that they're even. Lucifer tells her that they'll never be even after everything she's done for him, and that she's his best friend and he wishes he had always treat her that way before now. Maze gives Lucifer her blade so he'll always have a piece of her, and they hug. After a moment, Maze pulls away and says goodbye to Lucifer and leaves on her motorcycle to pick up Eve.

Lucifer goes back to Lux and finds Dan/Vincent waiting for him. Lucifer doesn't realize that Dan has taken over Vincent's body and grabs him, demanding answers. When Dan/Vincent says "bracelet bros", Lucifer realizes it's Dan, who gives an rushed explanation of how he got there. Dan says explains that he can't get out of Vincent's body, and if he did then he'd be setting a fugitive free,. He came to Lux hoping Lucifer could tell him to escape, and so Lucifer would turn Vincent in. Lucifer says that he has no idea how Dan can get out, and is in a bit of a hurry.

When he realizes how upset Dan/Vincent is, Lucifer tells him that he's truly sorry he can't help him. He apologizes that Dan was trapped in Hell, and pours him a drink as he says that Dan is a good man and belongs in Heaven. Lucifer tells Dan that neither of them have time to waste, and explains that he's started to patch things up with Rory, and she's told him that he disappears. He says that he's realized that it's less about they do with their final hours and more about who they spend them with. Lucifer suggests that Dan/Vincent consider who he wants to spend his final hours with,

Chloe is at home going over time travel books, and Lucifer brings Charlie's baby clothes there for baby Rory. She invites Lucifer in, and he says that they will always choose them if he has a chance. If it's his last day, Lucifer wants to spend it with his family, the people he loves most. He gets down on knee and asks Chloe to spend the rest of the day with him and Rory. She agrees, and they kiss.

Soon the trio are out driving, Rory standing up in the back of Lucifer's car. They go to the beach and Lucifer ass Rory to take care of Chloe. Rory says that in the future they take care of each other, and Lucifer tells his daughter that he believes he'll be gone when she needs him more, and he knows how it feels because God abandoned him. He admits that he was mad at himself, and thought he had done something to make himself unworthy of God's love. Lucifer hopes that Rory doesn't feel that way, and assures her that what makes him go isn't her fault. He vows that he'll do everything in his power to stay, and they hug.

Chloe comes over and sits down with them, and Lucifer hugs her. Rory says that she'll give them some time alone, if Lucifer leaves she wants to remember her parents together, and flies off.

Dan/Vincent goes to Trixie's camp and finds a model rocket on the ground. He picks it up, and Trixie comes over and says that it's hers. Dan/Vincent hands it back, and Trixie says "stranger danger" and knocks Dan/Vincent to the ground. He says that he's a friend of Maze's and Dan's, and Dan talked about Trixie all the time. Dan/Vincent gives the name of his demon companion in Hell, Belios, and says that he was a friend of Trixie's father. Dan/Vincent answers her questions to confirm he knows Dan, and says that Dan told him Trixie was the best kid a father could ever ask for, and the most loving daughter. He says that he's sorry Trixie's father had to leave her, and he didn't mean to. Dan/Vincent assures Trixie that her father is sorry he had to leave her before he could be the father he deserved.

Trixie says that Dan was best dad ever, the best person. Dan/Vincent tells her that he made so many mistakes, and Trixie says she Dan taught her that making mistakes was fine as long as the person loved, and she loved her dad and misses him every day... but he'll always be with her and she's proud of him. The girl tells Dan/Vincent to take back what he said, and a light shines down that only Dan/Vincent can see. Trixie goes back to her camp, and the light takes Dan way, leaving Vincent. He smiles as he has an idea.

Lucifer and Chloe go back to the penthouse, and they realize there's only 45 minutes left until the day is over. Piled-up rebars fall over, startling them, and the couple go into the panic room. It's larger inside than outside, and sumptuously furnished, and Lucifer sets the timelock and assures Chloe that it will only unlock when the day is over. Lucifer wants to say all the things to Chloe that he's never said, and she tells him that she doesn't want to hear it. Chloe hugs Lucifer and asks him to just be with her.

The lock opens when the day is over, and they open the door and step out to the penthouse. They're both relived, and figured that Rory coming back changed things. Vincent calls Lucifer and says that he has Rory, is holding her hostage, and wants Lucifer to come get her at 10th and Swanson.
