A dramatization of a true event
jacobs-mark15 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's the story of Ricky Rodriguez, the son of Karen Zerby, current leader of the Family International AKA Children of God cult and stepfather David Brandt Berg, deceased founder of the cult.. Ricky was abused by his female nannies in the cult, and his sisters and many other young girls were abused and raped in the cult. This made him so angry, that he obsessed over getting revenge on the cult. He lured one of his abusers to his apartment to torture her to get information as to whe whereabouts of his mother so he could kill her. That detail was unfortunately left out of the movie. It cut directly from his boring 1 hour long manifesto to her dead body lying on the floor. The rest of the movie was him driving and talking with his estranged wife until he finally pulled into a parking lot and shot himself.

The other reviewers gave it 1 star, but since they didn't stray far from the facts and it exposes a dangerous cult, it has some merit, but zero entertainment value.

Pure garbage.

The plot was obvious & the production value was poor. It certainly looks like they didn't invest much money on this film. Most of the film is a boring conversation from the main character (Ricky), and the viewer. Don't bother with this film. It's an hour and a half of your life that you will never get back.
