Too much loud, annoying music.

I would have rated the show higher if it wasn't for the loud annoying music. I had To put CC on because when the homesteaders were talking, I couldn't hear what they were saying. Why are the producers using music?

How many times can Jess & Chris say Cosna in one show, we get it you live in the Cosna we don't have to hear it every other word. With commercials your in about 15 minuets of the show and the last show you said Cozna 14 times. Give it a break!!!

Needs work

I gave this a 5 because there are a few people on here I really enjoy watching, I love watching Johnny & Java, and Chevie and Sonta and watching them bring their children up as their ancestors lived. PLEASE get rid of Jessi & Chris, and honestly I'm not to fond of the Rowlands either. The Rowlands have airplanes, snow mobiles, 4 wheelers all on their homestead! I don't want to see you flying your plane to an island to try & hunt deer. From what I understand fuel is crazy expensive in Alaska and your fueling 1 plane that it looks like they own, then flying in another to try and bag these deer. I get they like hunting but for the cost of all that fuel, couldn't you just go and buy meat???? They actually really rub me the wrong way not as bad as Jess & Chris but not too far behind. I hope NG just doesn't bring the Morse's back, from what I see they really are not well liked at all.

Background music too loud! Can't hear speech. If it doesn't improve we will discontinue to watch. Enjoy original Life Below Zero. Jessie and Sue are favorites. Next Generation is a waste. If noise continues will stop watching.

Love the show guys BUT PLEASE TURN THAT LOUD BACKGROUND MUSIC DOWN!

Again, we love watching, everything and everyone on is entertaining, but that darn awful music/noise/sound.

Will stop watching...yes, it's that annoying.

I am a huge fan of LBZ and am so very dissapointed with its spinnoff next generation. The cast you have chosen are just not interesting. This Mazo guy talks as if we are all 8 years old. The young couple gives the impression they have no idea what is happening around them and if that relationship lasts another year I'll be surprised. He seems to just barely put up with his wife and your expecting him to yell at her any minute. Thr guy driving his home made snow plow....come on folks watching paint dry would be more interesting. I liked the guy with his children as he really knows how to do what needs to be done. The rest have no idea. I learned so much from LBZ but fron next gen I learn nothing and just FF through every episode. They I'm sure are very nice folks but I'd like to see people who have some skills for surviving. Building a whole house and cutting it all using an axe and hand saw makes no sense. Would it kill them to have a chain saw? Just the time savings alone are termendous. I hope I don't sound unappreciative as I love these type of shows but PLEASE pick better participants . Thank you. I noticed so many viewers who agree this show is not good and the comments all support what I and others are saying. If your going to ask us to review the show then do something about it when it is obviously a complete FLOP.

Hype Generation

Unfortunately the Next Generation like to talk a lot, as if they know their friends will be watching. No doubt some of them have talent and skill, but it's like they HAVE to tell you how rough and adventurous they are. Still, good on them for getting out there. Only a couple of them seem like they would stay out there long term. Ya gotta love those dogs.

Annoying background noise

I LOVE the original show. Hate this one. Super loud and annoying background noise. It is so unnecessary. Won't continue to watch because of this. I have to mute it and use closed captions in order to tolerate watching it.

You need better actors

Yes, I said actors. Way over dramatized over small things, especially after going on and on about how if you got hurt you'd be in trouble.

So case and point, first scrape that someone took, they call the freaking national guard to airlift them out. 🙄 Seriously? 7 stitches is worthy of air lifting someone out?

That's how you know it's "made for tv" and not real. If this couple was actually serious about living off the grid, they'd probably have some medical supplies (including steri-strips for that scrape), and possibly even some basic 1st aid training. 🙄 Real life doesn't have to be dramatic to be good. Please, GET REAL!

IF this show was real, and not over embellished, or noticeably scripted, it would be awesome. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to watch it. Just for the challenge of picking apart reality from script. 😆 🤣 😂

I love alaskan shows but not this

I thought it would be living in the wild all year long but they come across as weekend warrior wannabe's that go to their families cabin once a year. I struggled through the first episode and got halfway through the second and decided enough is enough of this boring sh###

It's so annoying to watch with the background music being so laud, usually I like to watch the show when I go to bed but since the background music is so tense and laud I won't be watching like this.

The music that runs constantly during the shows this year is loud, distracting and unnecessary. My wife and I watch most of the Alaska based shows and have turned this show off without being able to watch even half the show.

I love the way Chris and Jessi interact with one another, they're adventurous, down to earth, & genuine. Sometimes I fast forward to their scenes lol I didn't see much of them the last episode so I skipped out on it. Chris & Jessi, y'all are the bomb!

Too much background sound

The sound people must think if they turn up the volume, they might get an Emmy like Life Below Zero has in the past. But they have the volume so high it's hard to hear what the cast is saying.

Like the show but the sound is way too loud. Have to read the subtitles to hear any conversation. Makes it almost unwatchable. Turn the sound down and it would be a vast improvement. Very annoying and distracting. It's interesting enough, you don't have to blast us out with loud annoying music and noise.

Families on next generation

Nathan and Chevy's kids are well behaved, smart, & wellspoken. As well as eager to participate in chores, hunting, learning without sass .

Their wives are intelligent , compassionate and true partners.....Unlike the McCarthy/ Rowland crew....kids are brats, wife is less than interested and a reluctant partner, no personality, flat effect, appears less than interested. Chevy and Nathan are great dads...educators, disciplinarians, role models. Rowlands talk baby talk, kids have same affect as mother...not really interested or engaged, just playing a role Chevy and Nathan are hard working, respectful, easy to listen to their verbiage, and enjoy their emotional responses and success and failures.

Rowlands appear scripted and just there.

Amateurs

Chris and Jessi Morse are such amateurs living as homesteaders. I feel like when I'm watching they doing to die because none of them seem to have any skills to be there. This is sad and lack any interest compared to life below zero the 1st series. The Rowland's are much better homesteaders. Just get rid of Chris and Jess.

With newly added people this series follows, the show has neglected the original people that helped create this program and made it popular. Chris & Jessi Morse have been excluded from the last number of episodes and it is this couple which brought balance to the show. I am also very angry that Port Protection is piggybacked to Life Below Zero and when I record episodes,, Port Protection is also recorded. I don't know if this is for a ratings boost but it is annoying that my DVR is tied up recording a program that I have no interest in. I am at the point of finding some other program of interest since these changes are frustrating.

Stop it. We can barely hear the words for the sound of the music. The show is good but we have to read the captions and turn off the sound, So Stupid.
