Based on what I've played from Bowser's Fury, if nintendo took this route with future 3d Mario games, I wouldn't mind. The music is very diverse and fits the theme of which segment of the game you're playing, the team-up with Bowser Jr. Is interesting for the Mario series, and the collectables feel like they serve a role to the story rather than being things to collect to enter the next level or 100 percent the game. Super Saiyan Mario is also hilarious and badass. This review is more vague because the game is still fairly new.

So bowser's fury is a game in the mario franchise that is also a direct port of the super mario 3d world game onto the nintendo switch and that this game is a separate game mode for it in one single title where you also work with bowser jr to help bowser the main antagonist get rid of his rage but in order to do that mario needs to become a super saiyan cat and fight him to get rid of all his anger and aggression and save the day. HOWEVER, i'm here to do an honest review of this game with all of the research i've done on it so here we go. So first of all this game has a LOT of super mario sunshine references in this game like for example bowser jr gets his magical paintbrush back and there is also a sunshine logo reference in the intro and also you can collect variations of shine sprites and they are now called cat shines but also there is poisonous death ink all over the place just like in super mario sunshine so i really do love the super mario sunshine references. Also the brand new updated controls compared to the original super mario 3d world have been upgraded to be much faster and also more maneuverability options like being able to jump roll and also being able to ground pound into warp pipes to go down them faster so all of these abilities being a lot more faster is very much appreciated by a lot of speedrunners that played the original and can now get through the game a lot faster which is cool. I also LOVE fury bowser's design it looks INCREDIBLE like i don't even know how to describe it like he's the biggest he's ever been probably and also he shoots out gigantic lava beams and shoots out colossal spikes from his back that you can also use for platforming options and his nickname in japan is known as (god killer), that is just AWESOME like that is such a cool name for a supervillain but you can also fight this guy by turning into a COLOSSAL SUPER SAIYAN CAT MARIO which was not only really cool but also really funny to see. Also Fury Bowser's theme music is amazing and is really catchy. Also the updated graphics and animation and art style of this game compared to original super mario 3d world really has been improved and i love that cause it just looks even more clean. I also love how this game and it's boss fights like the fury bowser ones can actually pose a big challenge because fury bowser's attacks and strategies can actually be VERY difficult to get by. Also the brand new bowser jr helping you out thing reminds me of the paper mario series where you can have allies that can help you out on your adventure and in here you can literally select how much you want bowser jr to help you out from different settings ranging on the amount of help you would like him to do which is a feature i wasn't expecting but i'm glad it exists. Also bowser actually has different forms involving even more powerful ones where he switches out of his fury bowser look but then becomes a colossal regular bowser but with glowing white eyes with the power of 3 giga cat bells and compared to the last game where he used one normal cat bell now he's definitely more powerful now and also meaning that he gets new abilities and superpowers as a result. Also the ending to this game is hilarious, The fact that bowser tries to attack mario while bowser jr pulls him back but mario legit just crosses his arms and closes his eyes while not even moving while bowser's trying to slash at him and that was just hilarious to me. Also the brand new theming of every another enemy or character in this game having cat ears and some fur is not only cute and hilarious but also you have an entirely brand new cat dimension to explore with loads of obstacles and puzzles and brand new challenges along with plenty of cat shines to collect along the way and it's a lot of fun in my opinion. Also the fact that you can also store every single power in the game as collectables that you can utilize at any time and you can hold up to 5 of each is EXTREMELY useful and very helpful. So in conclusion, this game took original mario concepts and upgraded them to make them even better or give a better challenge and make the game more fun and playable than ever before and i appreciate that the fact that speedrunner tactics and strategies are added to the game by making things faster is very much appreciated by many people but also the fact that bowser has a REAL COOL DESIGN in this game and his nickname is (GOD KILLER) is amazing. So what would i rate this game on a scale of 1 to 10, a 10 because this game completely upgrades mario mechanics from the past 3d world game and makes the games theming a whole lot more cooler and fun.
