for what its worth

Not going to rate a 10 obviously. Doubt Hallmark would ever warrant a 10. But for the numerous movies that have the same plot (2 leads had a childhood thing and then one goes off to the big city and joins corporate world and comes back and despite some kind of conflict -usually big city greed vs small business goals- they reconnect their connection. So this is no different except for a change they don't try too hard with 2 dimensional characters (super hick small town character vs super a hole greedy corporate type). Or super uptight snob country club parents and relatives. They're actually decent rich folk that she works for.

And the tension or conflict isn't in your face over the top cringe worthy.

And the 2 leads actually have a chemistry.

Decent, albeit predictable, conflict right at the very end, which was a breath of fresh air not drawing it out for half the movie.

So yeah, of all the Hallmark movies with that same plot line, I gotta say pretty easy to watch- ie not cringeworthy.

Sweet movie!
ssimeonidou126 April 2021
Everything in this film is good enough! The script has a pleasant and quick plot, the cast is good, the scenery is beautiful and the leading actors are sweet, good looking and well suited for the characters they portray! They definetely have chemistry!!!

You can understand from the first moment Kyra and Eidan will have their happy ending, with the usual misunderstanding near the end of the movie but.... has a nice twist.... instead the usual format where this keeps going on and on..... Eidan who in fact protected her dream, explains everything to her honestly and Kyra doesn't hesitate to fall in his arms in a hot kissing moment!!!

The only thing i didn't like was the jewelry!!! Ha ha Enjoy!

Good movie but some irritating music
SunnyDaise9 April 2024
Whilst this movie is not original, it is fine for all ages to watch. Unfortunately there is too much almost computer game style music, especially early one. I get that they were aiming for upbeat as this was made in the Covid Pandemic, but it soon gets beyond stale with repetitive rhythm and lack of melody. There are some more fitting tracks later on, but the main ones still feature too much - they just aren't in keeping with the jewel design / business / club prestige etc. This is such a shame, because having several characters over 50 would have made this movie rewatchable for years to come.

I'm not sure why, but...

As a Hallmark movie fan, i know what to expect generally. But in this movie lead girl and boy looks like and also acts like high schoolers. I don't know if this was the intention but i didn't quite fancy it.

Formula but sweet
sheldonlinda29 April 2021
This film follows the typical Hallmark formula - uptight girl with high finance job returns to her small town from the big city and falls in love with boy she grew up with who has a folksy job. In this case it is the boy who returns to the small town, but the girl is still uptight - only mildly, and it is her that has the folksy job. Horrendously predictable with the the expected conflict, but the conflict happened later on and wasn't nearly as bad as expected. In a way I liked having a film that just followed a relationship without too much conflict. It gave a sense of realism to how relationships usually progress. Watch this on it is sweet. The trivia says that the two leads at the time were engaged and you can see the realism in their chemistry which was nice - and also without the wince knowing one or both of the actors are married to someone else in real life. (Maybe I am weird, but I did do that while watching a different rom com last night.)

Win by atmosphere
TheCheeseMistress1 May 2021
I can't believe a movie with so little going on can be so good! The scenery and overall aesthetic, the warmth feeling to it, the well written dialogues and smooth pacing create a lovely feel-good atmosphere that makes watching this movie an incredibly pleasant experience.

The lead actress is absolutely adorable, she's godsent for the genre and I'm looking forwards to seeing more of her. There's also a perfect chemistry between the two and the romance builds in a realistic and captivating way. A perfect example of how a proper execution can make a simple script shine.
