Unexpected plot twist but left me unsatisfied

I patiently watched this movie and then felt a little cheated and that I had wasted my time. The storyline is lacking a little depth and makes you wonder from the start why the daughter doesn't have more to say about what had supposedly happened. Not sold on the series from this one film sadly.
