I really want to give 9 or 10. I love every minutes of this movies except the end minutes. Trollhunters, 3Below and Wizards are well done. I love Tobb. But why? Do Dreamworks want to make a new series about another different time line or paralla universe? WTF man! I am so disappoint on the bad poor ending.

Great film, except the very end

The three series (Trollhunters, 3Below, Wizards) make a great story, and the filmmakers have managed to create a spectacular, exciting, funny and emotional film to conclude it. I'd be happy to give it an 8 or 9. But the last few minutes not only ruin the film, but the whole Tales of Arcadia. It's completely pointless, and they've thrown the stories and the characters in the trash. :(

Who on earth thought this ending was a good idea!

I would rate the film an 8, it tended to repeat itself a lot and sometimes tried to be too self aware, but still had a great story and great action. However they throw all of this away with one of the worst endings in a movie I think I have ever seen, the ending alone was the soul reason I gave this movie a 6.

I loved...almost everything.

I have been a fan of the Trollhunters series and franchise since it began. I love the characters and the mythology that were built by all three shows. I was very excited when I learned about the movie. All things considered the movie was good, except for the end. Yes, the movie was rushed, and there were a couple of strange subplots, but the story and animation was great, right up until the very end. The ending totally erased everything that happened before it. The character growth, relationships, and storyline. It makes no since that Toby would be chosen as Trollhunter. It was literally Jim's destiny, no matter how it happened. We see that in the Wizards show when they accidentally change time. Daya is still chosen by the amulet, even though time was changed. To have Toby be the Trollhunter instead of Jim goes against the show's own mythology rules.

Even though the ending is disappointing, I still think you should watch it. It is an important piece to the Trollhunter universe, even if it did not have the ending it deserved.

The ending can make or break a movie

Much like the wizards TV series before, a lot of things happen in short amount of time, this time even quicker. The pace of the movie is non-stop with not so much of a build up. All of it culminating to a gutsy ending that might not sit well with all.

That being said, this movie's production is top notch, best as ever been animation and brilliant voice acting. The relationships, the humor, the romance, the dramatic scenes, and the jokes from previous installments are all there. And film does provide us with so many satisfying moments and a beautiful message that how it ends does not take away much from the prior story. All in all, this is a great send off of the franchise (for now).

I loved every minute of it except the end that I truly disliked !! I wanted to see them all in the future, having a great life and all ! But nothing happened and everything rebooted ! I am feeling an emptiness inside of me ! Every hour spent in front of my tv loving the characters and their development... and then it only happened in « another » parallel universe ? I mean... I so wished it would have ended some other way, like I said, a glimpse into the future where we could have seen everyone spending their time hunting monsters, helping each other and live their best lives ! Too bad... Otherwise I freaking loved all of the series : Trollhunters/3Below and Wizards !!! Such an amazing tv show/movie !! I would have given the movie a 10 but the end was not the end I expected ! May we meet again Arcadia !

Five years and three Shows later, we have the epic final to wrap it all up... And, it retrospectively ruins the entire show. How? By making everything that happened, all the wins and losses, completely meaningless. This is an epic F you, to everyone who loves this franchise! The worst part is, that up until the Avengers ending, it was actually quite Fun. Anyway, thanks to this movie, the entire franchise is no longer Canon.

Just dont watch the last 11 minutes

The ending sucks. Jim knows what's going to happen if he is not the Trollhunter, Why take that risk.

The movies quality is super I really enjoyed all the special Affects and all the colours, its really really good

BUT Male pregnancy!!!!! Come on

I recommend not watching the last 11 minutes, so YOU can imagine what will happen next, And that would probably be a better ending that we got now.

Don't get me wrong the movie was amazing, good action, very emotional and I loved it. But if u are a fan of the whole series like me, u will get disappointed by the ending a little bit. Anyways i recommend it, watch it!!!

This is the most disappointing ending of a show that I have seen and it felt like slap in the face. All that they have been through all their relationships and everything was erased and no longer matters or important. The entire movie is about Jim worrying if he is still a troll hunter and then he gave it to Toby knowing really well how hard it is to be a troll hunter and what he had to go through. All I feel is disappointment.

I didn't like the end

Everything was going well, until toby is the trollhunter, traveling to the past I can understand, but why change the trollhunter, by doing that, things can get worse than they were and also when I rewatch the series, it will not give me the same emotion since I know that none of that will happen, and we have already seen that Jim is the only one that can do the things right.

steve deserved better

I personally diddnt mind the ending, but any scene steve (palchuck) was in, made me want to turn the movie off. The whole pregnancy thing felt so unnecessary, and if they hadn't included it, both eli and steve would've actually been useful.

Baby thing was very unnecessary and made everyone i was watching it with, very uncomfortable.

If you liked Trollhunters, 3Below and Wizards avoid this movie like the plague, especially if you liked the character development from these three series.

Honestly, by this point time-travelling resurrections are just a lazy cop out. Deaths have zero dramatic impact when they keep being undone all the time.

And undoing every single event from Tales of Arcadia in the process is just one big middle finger to all viewers.

Amazing how just the final 5 minutes of a movie can completely ruin not only one, but three entire series.

Skip the ending....

Rushed but still loving it except for the awful ending when it was giving hint that everything happened in the past were changed/rebooted, giving me an interpretation of wasting time of watching it since the beginning. Just skip the ending.

I enjoyed the first series withe my son. This was a solid movie until the end. I felt it cheapened the series as a whole and was a poor way to "fix" things. All that came before is naught.....shame on the writers. It should have ended as it was. All the development, the storylines, everything that was accomplished is now gone. Toby in no way would be able to take the mantle from Jim. The dynamic created in the original series should have been kept intact. I will continue to view the original and subsequent additions with my son as he enjoys it greatly but this movie was a huge letdown. Long Live The original theme and cast.

Answers to the ending

Ok, so i know that ever single person here will have there own thoughts on the ending of the movie (Trollhunters: Rise of the titans). But hold on before you go running and screaming that it under mines ever thing the trollhunters, below and wizards set up. Its not ruined it as everything that happened still happened just Jim and the audience are the only ones that know. So when the next series come out and it will. We can follow along with it and relive all the experience's of the last 3 shows. We can watch him not only save everyone from this movie but everyone from all 3 shows. Like. Morgana, Draal, Angor Rot, Nomura, Vendel and Merlin. I believe that Jim still holds the amulet (even tho it wasn't shown) if this is correct then he could play a more secretly role in the next series. Bringing together people earlier that in the first time round. There is also another theory that the amulet knows that Jim came back and has all his memories that is why the amulet chose another because then there will be 2 trollhunters. Just think about how many diffrent story lines could come from this. Whilst Toby is training to be a trollhunter, Jim could be resurrecting Merlin along side Douxie. Or Jim could accidently hold the sword of daylight and it would stay on him as he is still the trollhunter, this could then create an spirling plot point for the rest of them not knowing what's going on. Or watch as Jim jumps around Toby as he is trying to set up defences for the Titans that will come again. And maybe they will be able to save the heart stone so they don't have to move away. There is just too many roads that this new series could create that I will fight tooth and nail to protest this new series to be green lighted. Just don't forget that a show is only as good as its last twist. Don't let this jump of faith from the director fall flat.

A good beginning makes a good ending, doesn't it?

I've got quite mixed feelings about this one. I've been a huge fan of the series since the beginning, so in this review I'll make references to the previous series. I'd even say this review is a summary to the whole thing. 'Trollhunters' and 'Three below' have everything what it takes to forge the love of their viewers. But since the third season of 'Trollhunters', 'Wizards', everything had been speeding up and ended in a bit unsatisfying way for me as a fan. I feel kind of robbed. And now I'm afraid that the creators while they were creating 'Rise of Titans' and 'Wizards', they went off their creation. They lost their interest. I have no right to blame them for that since the first season of 'Trollhunters' was accompanied by the terrible death of Anton Yelchin and it had taken a toll on them. However, despite that fact, they decided to continue and made such a good second season. Then the third season came and there they showed some contraversial decisions on characters' development they'd made and it felt a bit lacking, as for me. Although it wasn't that bad. At that point I thought it was the end to this great story and with a heavy heart I said 'godbye' to the characters I'd loved by that time. Afterwards I learnt, they'd been making 'Wizards' for some time and I was happy and looking forward to it. But when 'Wizards' arrived, I was horrified. I was watching and thinking, 'They should've stopped, they shouldn't have been doing this to the setting, to the 'Tales of Arcadia' Universe.' They didn't even try to squeeze all those unfitting, out-of-blue characters into the plot, which I, by the way, remember quite vaguely because of all that stuff. And finally, here we are with 'Trollhunters: Rise of Titans', and the seeds of bad decisions they planted previously have sprouted now leaving me lost in the plot and the setting with more unanswered questions then before. But I have to accept this because as one said, 'There are so many projects have been left unfinished, so it's good when creators make an effort to lead the story to its end.' To sum up, 'Tales of Arcadia' will be a good example of the way you shouldn't treat your setting and, at the same time, an example of efforts you have to make to finish your story.

Nari is captured by the other members of the Arcane Order. They reawakened the primordial Titans. The gang of heroes reunite to battle them.

This follows the series; Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, 3Below: Tales of Arcadia, and Wizards. This is essentially the Avengers of these shows. I've only seen the Trollhunters series so far. I get the basics of everybody after the brief introduction. The movie itself is action, action, action, repeat. The story telling style is rather simplistic. It's overstuffed. It does look good and I always like the Guillermo del Toro style. This movie does do one thing. I'm more compelled to watch the two other series. The ending could be a problem. I'm not sold on it. I would hate to re-do everything.

I fell in LOVE with Trollhunters the moment I first saw it. I enjoyed 3 Below, not as much, but still.

And though it was rushed, really loved Wizards.

When I found out they would be bringing all of these wonderful worlds together, I was ecstatic!

Unfortunately... stunning visuals, loveable characters (voiced by talented actors) and years of loyalty, couldn't help this movie. Without spoiling it, I will say (in my opinion), the characters felt like a side bar to an otherwise oddly irrelevant, misplaced story. The odd pacing and weirdly underwhelming dialog made things worse.

Then... there is... the ending... ooooh, that ending. It made me feel let down as a fan of the franchise, like everything I knew and loved about it was irrelevant.

I know this was intended to wrap up the Arcadia series but for the sake of its former glory, I hope they take some time to fix this mistake.

The Ending Is Just Bloody Awful Though I See Why They Did It!

The entire 'TROLLHUNTERS' TV series saga was just a pure masterpiece of animation genius. This film, as far as I am concerned, is in exactly the same vein; even though the portrayed ending was utter stupidity. If you think of the film as the series was about, then it should have been a happy ever after closure to the whole saga. But! I think the ending, as was given, was meant in some way to leave it open to a possible reboot in a few plus years with a brand new scenario etc.

To be honest though there is not one single fan of the series that will/would entertain the thought of Toby, remotely being capable of being a protector warrior of the Trolls and Human worlds. He is just far too overweight, has no stamina, can hardly move and he is the classic wannabee superhero that is totally too timid! For 3 seasons his character was written and designed, deliberately I might add, to be the hero's sidekick...and only a sidekick role!

I feel a lot of reviewers are being too harsh (and petty in some cases) about the whole film just because they hated the ending. Its true that the ending sucks and we all know it but, I for one am not going to slag what was a totally fun film.

A great film treat for children/family's to have a fun time together!

It was and is a very very beautiful and good film from all points of view, but the end overwhelmed me, I was very surprised how Toby is the new TrollHunter, why? I understand that you lost a precious man being Jim's voice from the last TrollHunters season, but it didn't have to end like that, I honestly think there will be 2 TrollHunters because Jim still has a new amulet and that would change the future idk ... Ma we were expecting something else from the writers, but that's all we could do. Overroll was great and we have to appreciate the work done for this wonderful film, but I still hope it will be a sequel or something that was too short (the end).

Okay, first of all, after watching 3 series and being very excited for the movie and then watching this.. Was a bit sad. The movie was good and all but the end was kind of disappointing compared to the 3 other series honestly... First of all, Steve got pregnant because of some Akiridian thing which was extremely ridiculous and dumb... Secondly, it was a bit sad to see a lot of these characters die but WHAT WAS THE FREAKING WORSE WAS TOBY'S DEATH... They literally made a main character die in the story... Now I was starting to get extremely surprised but mad on why the hell they would ever do this. I still kept on watching though and Jim decided to use the time thing to go back to time and change all that has happened. This was an okay ending I thought but when Toby freaking got the amulet I got angry. The amulet chooses the person and it was originally supposed to choose Jim. So with that unexpected turn I made the final rating of the story down to a 7. Overall story was pretty good 8, but with the ending a 6-7.
