Dire

No better, no worse than all the other Lifetime Harry & Meghan dime store epics. Embarrassing dialogue and unintentionally comical situations with high school dramatics. The villains might as well have the word "villain" tattooed on their foreheads as they set out to ruin the innocent and unsuspecting title couple. Groan.
Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace

Okay, so I thoroughly enjoyed the first instalment of Lifetime's Harry and Meghan series. Though heavily fictionalised and taking massive creative liberties, it was still a good film for what it was. Good cast and a reasonable script. The second one? Okay, but a step down from the original.
The third one - Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace? The three stars I gave it is probably more than it deserves.
Nauseatingly bad, and that's probably the nicest phrase I can use on IMDB to describe a film this bad. I mean, come on, the guy playing Harry barely looks like the spare prince, the dialogue is cringey in pretty much every scene - you can tell the script was written by an American, as there are many examples of cliched British term ons scattered throughout - situation various characters are put into aren't even remotely likely or believable, and I wanted to give up halfway through. I didn't. But I should have. Hoping that 'Escaping the Palace' would get better, I hung on. Wish I hadn't. So, so bad. I hope Lifetime put this franchise to bed now.

What a load of garbage

It looks as the script was written directly by the two eternal victims. The result it is that this tv movie is so bad it does not deserve even a nod at the Razzie awards. The wooden acting from the two leading actors is better than the original couple, though...
That was nauseating

They were clearly consulted on this film. They had to. Harry and Meghan are one dimensional protagonists in this melodramatic farce. Everybody is out to get them while they are just trying to live their best lives. I stopped paying attention to it after the first forty minutes or so.
Horrible, cruel and absolutely FAKE

The story is beyond fiction. The writing is what you expect of a cheap lifetime movie. Using your mother's death to build your brand has lead to yellow "journalists" (Amid Scabies) and cheap tv stations like Lifetime to ALSO your mother's death to garner sympathy for you and your fame seeking wife. Little Harry has opened Pandora's box in Hollywood. There are books being released on the anniversary of Diana's death and fictional movies released on the anniversary of her death to make money and sell, sell, SELL! I hope at the end of the day the REALITY of what Megan Markle did to drive the brothers apart, stealing millions of dollars from Prince Charles, and abusing Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth while Prince Philip laying dying all comes to light. And also making Charlotte cry prior to the wedding by calling her fat.
All lies only. I literally vomited

This can be described in one word - DIRE.
It begins with an absolute disgraceful and distasteful crash which was utterly appalling and it doesn't get any better from there. The infact it gets worse MUCH worse.
This is Harry's first wife is desperately attempting to align herself as Diana mark 2 which couldn't be further from the truth. Harry married his mother's stalker and their spectacular act of self sabotage has been quite remarkable over this past year.
If THIS is the type of nonsensical fodder they are churning out don't bother yourself to watch it.
It's so far removed from the truth that it's laughable. It appears to be utterly delusional. The ego maniacs who wrote this need to be sacked immediately!
It has to be one of the worst pieces of rubbish ever churned out.
EPIC FAIL.

It looks like Piece Morgan or whatever his name is has a lot of time on his hands. Don't believe all these negative reviews, ofcourse it's not a oscar worthy performance but if you enjoyed the other lifetime movies regarding these two you will enjoy this.
Boring + waste of Time.....

There are just as many facts in this film as in the Twilight Saga.
The special thing is, there are people who see this film as truth. Is there a helpline for that? Tip: Don't eat too heavily before watching this movie, or buy a good cleaning product to clean your carpet afterwards.

As usual when it comes to some PR puff from the Sussex duo , ,this movie just continues to compound on the lies she told that were already proven as lies.
The fact that Harry, who claims he was so traumatized by his mother's death obviously had a hand in this is beyond sick and shocking. To continue to cash on on Princess Diana's death by the z list actress and the perpetual racist prince is just a slap in the face to William.

I don't know why I thought this would be a decent movie. The main subjects are a couple who have made their brand as professional victims who trash their families--on all sides-- as brutally and publically as they can. Still, I thought, maybe this would clear up all the lies they told on Oprah and redeem them in my eyes. Nope. Just furthered their agenda of professional victimhood. I;m done with this couple. I cheered while I watched their wedding, I hoped they would do well when they moved to Canada and was genuinely happy they were finding their own way. The film does a poor job of portraying how that went down and only shows one very biased side of the story. The actors they chose for the other royals looked, spoke and acted nothing like how I've seen them act and speak. Ther personalities were also very different from just about every other person on the planet who has actually met them.
I had hoped they would learn and grow from their challenges yet clearly they would rather remain bitter and vengeful and the US media is all too happy to help them do it as long as it creates drama. Hence my feeling a need to review, the media needs to stop talking about them and further playing up their sainthood/the whole entire world is against us!/it's not us, we are amazing, it's everybody else we ever encounter who is the problem status or they will never grow up.

The movie script is awful. Lifetime movies are usually cheesy. This movie, Escaping the Palace, is the cheesiest! It is concerning that people will take this movie for the truth and form their opinion based on this fictional movie script. I give it zero stars.
Good movie

"We must take a stand against...racism!" Harry says in the movie. Although I agree with the sentiment, the line is so heavy handed that I was surprised that the strains of "Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!" weren't rising to a crescendo in the background. To be sure, there is some truth in the narrative presented by this movie: Harry and Meghan were unhappy in England and cruel things about them were printed in media. But, Prince William's endless rolling of the eyes in contempt of Meghan Markle's presence remind me of Jafar in Disney's Aladdin. Prince Charles resembles a befuddled character actor from an old Frank Capra movie, and if he does remember anything, his face immediately sours into an expression as if he popped a lemon candy into his mouth. The actor doesn't look much like Prince Charles, so I didn't know who he was supposed to be until Harry called him Dad. I can't believe we don't get to see an evil version of Camilla, but she is MIA, replaced with a Cruella sort of press secretary/ house manager person. Kate Middleton here seems like a Stepford wife under evil William's control. The only nice member of "the firm" is Harry's house manager who constantly battles William's Cruella lady.
There's an entertainment value here in viewing the story in a different way than what most angry YouTubers would have us believe and in the over-the-top villainous characters who attempt to harm Harry and Meghan. Although the film tells the story in a kooky Lifetime movie way, I'm left with the question: why does Meghan Markle inspire such animosity? It's as if a world that asks women only to attain physical beauty and men only to obtain money must then punish anyone who succeeds in these endeavors as narcissistic for doing what they've been encouraged to do. Maybe it's like the mirror in the British Vogue cover Meghan Markle labors over in the movie; society can't stand to see its own reflection.

It is pretty obvious that this is a biased recount likely written by the grifting Sussexes. To invoke Diana, Princess of Wales, is truly despicable. If I could have assigned a ZERO review, I would have. Shameful, disrespectful, disgusting and repugnant comes to mind.
