This was something else

I've seen many movies. You have movies which entertains you, you have movies which brings out your feelings, and you have movies which makes this huge impressions to you and overturns how you look at life. This movie had all three of them. I have never felt so much emotions caused by any form of entertainment ever. This was a true rollercoaster of laugh and tears. It makes you reconsider what you are doing in life, and whats important to you. Technically it's not perfect. The cast could be more exclusive. It could be more Hollywood-ish in terms of entertainment. But it was real. If this movie doesn't touches you, I don't think any movie will.

Most emotional movie experience i ever had. And very good story. Both funny and sad at the same time.

Just wow.. I have never cried so much of a movie since ever. The most incredible, touching and fantastic movie in many years.. If this dosent come out with a 10 out of 10, something is wrong. The actors was amazing too, all of them. I will never forget this one.

Deep yet sweet

This movie has a script of real emotional intelligence, and acting to match. For me, it's the build-up, and not the actual ending, that represents the main event. The ending is essentially for wrapping things up, but the story first has unanticipated twists and moments of poignancy. Just when a more conventional turn could be expected, events take an intriguing new direction, which is satisfying in itself. As well, though, we're confronted with life's glorious and gorgeous meaninglessness - something to cry about, and nothing to laugh about, but still nevertheless something to laugh along with.

Ok but not emotional enough to make me feel anything
kroesten29 July 2022
It was ok but I was expecting some comedy. I did not laugh once. But it didnt feel like a drama neither since I did not cry once. This was just a mix which did nothing for me. As a cancer survivor myself I thought I was going to like it better. I think Norwegian movies are not so good at creating emotions. I am from Norway myself and I love Norwegian standup and comedy. I know now if I wanna feel something I rather watch french, spanish, Italian, german, american, english, turkish and movies from other countries who are much better at making emotional drama.

Something else...

Warning: Spoilers
Kasper (Odd-Kristian Wilhelmsen) is a wornup standup. He don't get audience, he can't come up with new material. And theen, when you think everything just can't get any worse, he get message from his doctor about the big "c". Nevermind that his girlfriend dumps him when his about to tell her. So Kasper has to adjust to the worst news ever. His agent and best friend, transsexual Kjell Elisabeth (Øystein Martinsen), is so transfixed on his own "problems", he hardly get the cancer message when they talk. Petter Næss has a great track record for making movies about hard subjects. No less here, were Kasper goes trough all emotions, and in the end kind of accepts what has happened, and adjust to make the best of it. May be offputting for some, but I've experienced the same, and can easy relate. Great performances by Wilhelmsen and my old friend, Øystein Martinsen. It's a sad, funny and thought provoking movie with some words of wisdom. You're not the centre of the universe, but can make your own legacy. Almost pitch perfect, and reminded me somewhat of the beautiful "The Butterfly & The Diving Bell"
