Surprisingly fun

This movie was surprisingly funny, witty and cute. The jokes are usually on point, although I think some context is lost if you are not hungarian. The story is quite simple, but its endearing and its a cute, heartwarming family movie.

The "fantasy" scenes are intertwined with the regular ones, which gave me a Bridge to Terabithia feeling. But this movie is its own unique thing, and its great at that.

One of the best things in the movie, that I was afraid before watching is the child actor. He is PHENOMENAL. He does everything he needs to perfectly, and is a typical child, somehow. It was long ago when I saw a similarly good child actor, especially one with no acting experience. This is a good movie to watch if you need some lighthearted fun.

A hidden gem

My wife and i didnt expect much when we started this movie. We were wrong. A simple but charming story, the actors are very decent and the chemistry between the father and child is excellent. The flow of the movie is very much on point, we never once felt bored. 10 minutes into the movie and were already hooked. Althoug the story was already told 100 times before, still felt refreshing. I believe most of the jokes are aimed at hungarian audience, but it can be fun in other languages too. We laughed a lot and also got emotional at some point. This movie is a great a choice to get away from the mass produced hollywood movies.
