Lots of "shoot-em-up" action, along with fistfights. Your weapons are your fists, 2 pistols, a shotgun, a Tommy-Gun, and hand grenades.
You also have to fight Terra-Cotta warriors, which shatter as you punch and shoot them (Ocassionally, you can knock the head off, and they will be fighting headless).
At the end of the game, you must grab and throw Terra-Cotta warriors into giant gears to break the gears. The warriors shatter when they fall into the gears.
One of the fighting moves involves grabbing and throwing people, and you can throw them off cliffs. They teeter on the edge for a moment, then they disappear over the edge. You can hear them scream for a few seconds.
In one cutscene, Alex punches a Chinese soldier, slams him into the wall, then heaves him over the edge of the platform they are on. You hear a slicing sound, for it is implied that he was impaled on one of the spears sticking up out of the ground.
A few times during the game, you take control of a turret, and then must mow down the enemies as they come at you.
Occasionally, you can throw soldiers toward a broken electrical box, and they get electrocuted.

At one part, you must fight a giant, three-headed dragon.
