It's about respect
nogodnomasters8 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Elon (Queen Ajima) Lives in LA, a USC graduate living a fair life with her boyfriend Shawn (Gichi Gamba). An opening weird scene occurs where we get a hint that life is but a dream as we hear the song "Row Row Row your Boat." Elon takes off in her Beamer and picks up a hitchhiker named Bora (Tiffany Toney) who she grazed with her car. Bora is just the opposite of Elon. She is wild and we discover she has a box cutter which she uses on men who don't respect her, which is about all of them. Elon is taken back by the drugs and killing, but stays with Bora.

I liked the twist at the end. However, it did make a lot of scenes incapable of working so you don't see it coming.

Guide: F-word. Nudity (Tiffany Toney)

Bora, boring...
paul_haakonsen25 July 2023
Now, I had not heard about this 2023 thriller titled "Bora" from writer Tiffany Toney prior to stumbling upon it by random chance. And I must admit that the movie's synopsis sounded interesting enough, and thus opted to sit down and watch it.

I managed to endure a staggering 31 minutes of absolute boredom before I ended the ordeal. The movie was just insanely boring, pointless and lacked anything to make it even remotely enjoyable. I was most definitely not the target audience for this type of movie, as I found the premise of the movie to be abhoring and downright ridiculous.

I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, except for Noel Gugliemi and Omar Gooding. However, in the 31 minutes of torment that I sat through, I can't claim to have witnessed anything overly interesting on the screen.

This movie is not something I would recommend for you to waste your time, money or effort on. And I surely have no interest in returning to watch the remainder of the movie, as directors Tiffany Toney and Andre McCoy just entirely failed to entertain me.

My rating of "Bora" lands on a one out of ten stars.

OFF THE CHAIN

This movie was great. I was not expecting such a plot twist that you never see when it's coming... I was excited to see something different and new. This film definitely held it's weight in gold. I have to say i never done a review before but i just had to on this one...spoiler alert...HA, there is known so see the movie for yourself..Bora gets 10 stars from me and great job by these 2 actresses. Also it has some cool characters in it as well.. Omar Gooding, Cuban gooding's brother killed and Noel G from Training day was too funny. And then there was the Gangsta Chino, he was too darn cool.. i have to say there were a lot of colorful characters in this film...

Love plote twists?
acmealpha26 June 2023
This is a great thriller. Intriguing from start to end, and very well written with important messages about the reality we live. If entertainment and mind blowing is something you want, then this is the movie that you need to watch.

With a very small cast, Tiffany managed to put together a mind blowing thriller that shows you the ordeals that a law abiding citizen might face by associating with the wrong person.

Mental health and harassment towards women are other important elements of our society that are addressed by Tiffany with powerful messages to the audience through dialogues.

This is an outstanding example of how you can get the best out of everything with a limited budget.

Loved The Twist & Cast
BrashaadMayweather18 July 2023
Love love loved the twist, cast, and dynamic between the leads. You truly never know what you will get when you pick someone up off the side of the road and this film paints the picture better than any film I've ever watched.

For starters it's amazing how these two unknown black women carry the film they for sure have a place in the acting world long term. The character Bora just wow, it's not often in American history that you have a bad girl like her. I don't want to give any spoilers but man she is 100% bad ass and way more than the viewer would expect.

Overall this film kept me not wanting to even take a pee break I for sure recommend it.

I Respect the Hustle
chrisjaialex-0820514 January 2024
Tiffany not only gave a great performance but also hustled to get everything behind the camera done. Nothing but respect for the team and everyone who got it done. Alot of people talk but they actually put the work in to create something special and i'm pretty sure somewhere right now Tiffany is hustling to live more of that dream creating. The film has dope visuals, great performances and the whole thing is a vibe. Shot out to James and Gichi, I love to see yall brothas do yall thing and all of you together are amazing. I'm excited to see what's next and, Looking forward to seeing all the cast grow and do big things. Respect to yall.
