Someone had waxed the floor the night before filming the scene at Lucas Lodge where Lydia and Kitty start an impromptu dance, making it too slippery (and therefore dangerous) to dance on. After the crew tried a number of different chemicals to try and remove the wax, someone had the brilliant idea of pouring Coca Cola all over it.
Julia Sawalha (Lydia Bennet) & Victoria Hamilton (Mrs Forster) also worked together on Lark Rise to Candleford (2008) as Dorcas Lane & Ruby Pratt respectively.
The gray plaid Spencer worn by Susannah Harker (Jane Bennet) riding to Netherfield Hall is the same costume worn by Sarah Crowden (Lady Blanche) in Brussels in Vanity Fair (1998), by Vicki Hopkins to go riding in The Regency House Party (2004), and by Gemma Arterton (Elizabeth Bennet) in Amanda's bathroom in Lost in Austen (2008).
The orange gown with green underskirt worn by Anna Chancellor (Caroline Bingley) when she asks Elizabeth to "take a turn about the room" at Netherfield is the same costume worn by Bridget McConnell (Madame Bougival) in Quills (2000).
The gold v-neck gown with brown trim Susannah Harker (Jane Bennet) wears at the Meryton Assembly Ball is the same costume Samantha Bond (Mrs. Weston) wears when Emma sings with Frank at Randalls in Emma (1996). The same costume is also worn by a guest at the Easter Ball in Wives and Daughters (1999).
