- What hatches from the egg is a bizarre and disturbing human/crow hybrid creature covered in goo and sparse feathers. It undergoes a gross metamorphosis over time and begins to look like a young girl, with the in-between stages appearing very disturbing.
- The final stage of the metamorphosis manifests as a little girl with her mouth torn up graphically.
- On a couple of occasions a girl vomits up her food and the bird creature eats the vomit.
- The movie ends with the main girl getting stabbed by her mom when she tries to protect the monster, there isn't much blood but her shirt starts to stain from the wound.
- A young girl is attacked by the creature offscreen which causes her to end up in the hospital. She is seen missing a hand and very messed up in the hospital. Very disturbing.
- Extended look at a decapitated dog, very graphic.
