Compiled from a series of scrapped ideas and deleted scenes from A New Hope, Episode One follows Luke Skywalker, a farm boy on the desert planet Tatooine who hopes to one day be up in the stars like his friend Biggs, flying for the Empire.

Having escaped the evil clutches of Darth Vader, and with a mission to deliver stolen plans to an Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO and R2-D2 make their way across the dune seas of Tatooine, with the Empire in close pursuit.

Back on the Millenium Falcon, Han Solo's ship, Ben teaches Luke about the Force and the mystic Jedi Order, to which Han has other opinions. A major discovery lends to a change in plans, now with the Empire back on their trail.
Now docked in a hangar bay of the Death Star, the Empire's secret battle station, the group must find a way of escape and come up with a new plan now that Alderaan is no more.
Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewbacca all plot a daring escape from the Death Star, assisted by their droid companions C-3PO and R2-D2. Ben Kenobi, separated from the group, has a climactic showdown with his former apprentice, Darth Vader.
Escaping from the Death Star, Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, and the droids all make their way to the rebel base on Yavin IV, seeking refuge; the Empire has other plans.
