One of the biggest kids series on the planet is coming to the big screen. DreamWorks Animation is in the works on “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” and has set it for release on September 26, 2025 from Universal Pictures.
“Gabby’s Dollhouse” is the DreamWorks mixed media series for preschoolers that airs on Netflix and, according to Nielsen, was the most-streamed series that’s original to streaming in 2023. Each episode follows a girl named Gabby unboxing a surprise before jumping into a fantastical animated world of adorable cats living inside Gabby’s dollhouse.
Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey, who created the series, are executive producing the “Gabby’s Dollhouse” movie. Ryan Crego, who earned a Children’s and Family Emmy nomination for his TV feature “Arlo the Alligator Boy,” is directing the film.
In the new film, Gabby heads out on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco.

The docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV posted Max’s best streaming numbers to date for its premiere week.
The show, which streamed on Max concurrent with its on-air premiere on ID, had 1.25 billion minutes of viewing for the week of March 18-24. That’s the largest weekly total for any series on Max in the nearly four years of Nielsen’s streaming rankings, edging out the 1.19 billion for The Last of Us in early 2023.
Netflix’s 3 Body Problem grabbed the overall No. 1 spot for the week (it premiered March 21), racking up 1.37 billion minutes over its first four days. The sci-fi series narrowly beat Prime Video’s remake of Road House, which had 1.32 billion minutes of viewing in the United States. Amazon had earlier claimed that the movie was Prime Video’s biggest film premiere worldwide so far.

Taylor Swift made her chart debut in Nielsen’s streaming rankings, as her concert movie The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) had a strong showing over its first four days of release on Disney+.
The film racked up 677 million minutes of viewing in the United States in the week of March 11-17 (it debuted on Disney+ on March 14), finishing second among movies and eighth among all titles for the week. Disney had previously said that The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) had 4.6 million views (defined as total viewing time divided by running time) worldwide over its first three days; the four days of Nielsen measurement translate to about 3.22 million views of the 3 1/2-hour film.
Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen took the No. 1 overall spot for the week, moving up from third place a week earlier as it improved to 1.86 billion minutes of watch time from 1.21 billion. Millie Bobby Brown...

There’s a great variety of new titles heading to top streaming services this week, from popular kids shows to college basketball and everything in between.
Have patience, NCAA basketball fans. The 2024 Men’s Basketball tournament has to wait until next week, and while that probably seems like an eternity for fans of teams heading to the big dance, it’s at least worth noting that the months-long wait for the tournament to start again is almost over!
The best news is that The Streamable will, as usual, have a list of new TV and movie streaming premieres ready to go for basketball fans, as well as audiences who don’t care about sports to get you through the week. Don’t bite your fingernails off or work yourself into a frenzy waiting for March Madness, just distract yourself with the new titles heading to a streaming service near you this week!

The two big original releases on Netflix this month are Spaceman and 3 Body Problem. In Spaceman, Adam Sandler plays an astronaut alone and far from home who desperately wants to fix things with his wife. When he discovers an enormous alien spider in the bowels of his ship, a conversation between the two gets underway, and Sandler has a chance to make some big changes. To be clear: this is not a comedy!
Meanwhile, new sci-fi series 3 Body Problem hails from Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Along with True Blood writer Alexander Woo, they’ve spun a tale that is set to blow your mind this March. Your mileage may vary, but it certainly looks interesting! And hey, we all love the show’s star, Benedict Wong.

Netflix’s Griselda spent a second week as the top streaming title in the United States, according to Nielsen. It was one of three shows to snag more than a billion minutes of watch time for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith also had a solid start for Amazon’s Prime Video, coming in just below the billion-minute mark. HBO’s True Detective also joined the rankings as it reached the midpoint of its fourth season.
Griselda, starring Sofia Vergara as the notorious drug lord, grabbed 1.73 billion minutes of viewing for the week, up about 9 percent from the previous seven days. The other two billion-minute shows were Young Sheldon (1.31 billion minutes on Netflix and Max) and Bluey (1.15 billion on Disney+).

For the first time since the show became exclusive to Peacock, The Office has made the weekly streaming rankings.
The long-running comedy series racked up 602 million minutes of viewing time for the week of Jan. 22-28, good enough for ninth place among library series. It’s the first appearance for The Office — which was a regular entrant in the early days of the Nielsen rankings — since it left Netflix for Peacock at the beginning of 2021.
At the top of the rankings for the week is Griselda, Netflix’s drama about the infamous drug queenpin starring Sofia Vergara. The series had 1.59 billion minutes of watch time over its first four days of release (it premiered Jan. 25). Reacher (741 million minutes) hung on in second place among original series a week after its second season finale on Prime Video, beating out Netflix’s docuseries American Nightmare (676 million).

The week of Jan. 15-21 was a big one for streaming.
Seven titles — three original series, three acquired shows and one movie — each drew more than 1 billion minutes of viewing for the week, the most that have ever hit that mark in the four-year history of Nielsen’s streaming charts. The previous high was six, which has happened four times (including two weeks earlier).
Kids’ favorite Bluey was the overall No. 1, with just over 1.5 billion minutes on Disney+. Reacher (1.23 billion) reclaimed the top spot among original shows from the prior week‘s leader, Fool Me Once, which fell by more than 50 percent to 1.06 billion minutes of watch time. Netflix’s heist movie Lift grew by 19 percent week-to-week, scoring 1.04 billion minutes.
Young Sheldon (1.16 billion minutes), Netflix’s docuseries American Nightmare (1.12 billion) and Grey’s Anatomy (1.09 billion) also hit the billion-minute mark.

That was good for third place among original series, behind Fool Me Once (2.4 billion minutes of viewing) — which was also the No. 1 overall title for the second straight week — and Reacher (1.06 billion), which recorded its fifth straight week over the billion-minute mark.
Disney+ and Hulu also saw a good start for Echo, its first binge-released Marvel series and the first Marvel show in the Disney+ era to receive a TV-ma rating. The runaway success of Suits on Netflix in 2023 gave the show the biggest year ever in the short history of streaming viewing measurement. It also headlined a banner year for library series (aka shows that ended their run years ago) across a number of platforms: The top 10 overall titles in Nielsen’s year-end rankings are all acquired shows, the first time that’s happened in the four years streaming rankings have been publicly available.
Viewers spent a lot more time on streaming platforms last year than the year before — streaming use rose by 21 percent, according to Nielsen — and licensed shows are responsible for a lot of that increased time. The top 10 original streaming series last year combined drove 133.6 billion minutes of viewing, accounting for about two-thirds of 2022’s top 10 original shows (198.3 billion minutes). Top 10 Most-Watched Suits Of 2023: Suits, The Big Bang Theory, Friends & More! (Photo Credit – IMDb)
There were a lot of streaming options in 2023. But one of the biggest blessings was the resurgence of Meghan Markle, Gabriel Macht, and Patrick J Adams starrer Suits. Not only that, but it is 2023’s most-watched show, surpassing The Big Bang Theory, Friends, and others. Scroll below for all the details!
Many factors led to the popularity of Suits growing all over again in 2023. It is undeniable that the characters are kickass, the dialogues are witty, and the plots are highly engaging. Americans streamed 21 million years of video in 2023, according to Nielsen, and a hell of a lot of that was Australian series “Bluey.” Whoops, we mean a heck of a lot — it’s a kids show, after all.
The Disney+ import was the second most-streamed program of 2023, according to new Nielsen data, behind only “Suits.” Ah, biscuits.
“Suits,” which originally aired on USA Network from 2011-2019, was an absolute streaming juggernaut in 2023. It topped Nielsen’s streaming charts for 12 straight weeks, snapping an old “Ozark” record. And all it took was one Netflix licensing deal — and a ton of prominent placement by its algorithm. It would have been trifficult for any show to compete with that.
But consider the “Bluey” achievement. It and “Suits” offered roughly the same number of episodes (145 vs. 141) in 2023, but the two programs have wildly different runtimes. “Suits” is an hourlong drama (or 44 minutes without commercials); “Bluey...

‘Suits’ was the top acquired streaming program of the year, with more than 57 billion minutes streamed on Netflix and Peacock.
A lot happened in the streaming world in 2023. A shift in priorities took hold across the industry, as streaming providers realized they must figure out how to become profitable — and fast — to rehabilitate their stock prices. All of that happened against the backdrop of strikes by Hollywood’s largest writer and actor unions, and both of those factors combined to aid the rise of a potent programming segment: acquired content. Licensed shows like “Suits” took audiences by storm in 2023, and data compiled by Nielsen about streaming viewership last year provides good insight into what watchers can expect from their favorite streamer in 2024.

In a report analyzing TV viewership in the U.S. throughout 2023, Nielsen found that “Suits” beat a record previously held by “The Office” for number of minutes watched in a single year.
The legal drama racked up 57.7 billion total minutes watched in 2023, putting it just ahead of the 57.1 billion minutes of viewership accumulated by “The Office” in 2020. When comparing total time watched, though, projects with more episodes and/or longer episodes stand at an obvious advantage. The entirety of “Suits” runs for about 83 hours, which would mean it had an easier time reaching that 57 billion-minute mark than “The Office” did with about 73 hours of content.
Still, both the old record and the new one speak to Netflix’s ubiquity in the streaming landscape. “The Office” aired its final episode on NBC in 2013 but continued to reach a huge audience until it was removed from Netflix at the start of 2021 and...

The streaming gods have smiled on Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
The Disney+ series based on author Rick Riordan’s best-selling books opened to a good-sized audience in the week before Christmas. The first two episodes, which debuted the evening of Dec. 19, drew about 572 million minutes of watch time, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings. With a combined run time of 80 minutes, that works out to about 7.15 million complete runs (or “views” as currently defined by much of the industry) of the two episodes in the United States.
Disney had earlier said that the first episode had earned 13.3 million views worldwide — equivalent to a little more than 505 million minutes — over its first six days. The Nielsen figures for the premiere put Percy Jackson ahead of Disney+’s last two Marvel premieres, Secret Invasion (461 million minutes) and season two of Loki (446 million), in total viewing time.
Prime Video’s Reacher moved up to the overall No.

Reacher began its second season with big viewing-time numbers, cementing its status as one of the most popular shows on Amazon’s Prime Video.
The series based on Lee Child’s novels had 1.69 billion minutes of watch time for the week of Dec. 11-17; season two’s first three episodes debuted Dec. 15 (viewing time for the week also includes the eight episodes of season one). That’s within 10 percent of Reacher’s total for its series premiere week (1.84 billion minutes) in February 2022, when Prime Video released the entire season at once. Three weeks after premiering on Netflix, Young Sheldon has ascended to the most watched show on streaming platforms in the United States. A platform switch to Netflix also sent The Super Mario Bros. Movie to its biggest streaming week to date.
The two titles, which rank second and third on Nielsen’s streaming chart for the week of Dec. 4-10, are the latest examples of Netflix’s multiplying power. Young Sheldon had 1.63 billion minutes of viewing on Netflix and Max for the week, after recording 1.85 billion minutes a week earlier and 963 million for its first week on both platforms. The Big Bang Theory prequel had never charted before the past three weeks (it was previously exclusive to Max) and has easily surpassed its parent show in viewing time all three weeks. The Big Bang Theory had 592 million minutes of watch time on Max for Dec. 4-10.

A nearly unrecognizable Sofia Vergara playing a cartel boss, a new retelling of the story of the Uruguayan rugby team that crash-landed in the Andes in 1972, Kevin Hart assembling a team for a daring heist and Dan Levy dealing with loss and grief are among the standout projects hitting Netflix this January.
Spanish director J.A. Bayona’s Society of the Snow lands on Netflix on Jan. 4. The film is the latest cinematic retelling of the miraculous story of the Uruguayan rugby team that crash-landed on a glacier in the heart of the Andes in 1972, with the survivors being forced to resort to extreme measures to stay alive. After debuting in Venice, Society of the Snow has picked up plenty of awards on the international film festival circuit, and it recently made the shortlists in four categories for the 2024 Academy Awards, including best international feature film.

As the year winds down, it’s time to look back at Netflix’s biggest hits, and today, we begin by looking into what kids’ TV shows picked up the most points in the Netflix top 10s over the past 12 months.
This list is compiled using FlixPatrol data collected from the daily top 10s on Netflix from over 80 countries around the globe. They assign points and values to each title that gets featured on any day. Their data isn’t perfect as their method doesn’t quite fully capture the complexity of viewership data, such as total watch time, repeat viewings, or demographic details of the audience. Also worth noting is that Netflix changed up its top 10 metrics midway through the year to favor views over pure viewing hours. That said, their data provides a pretty accurate snapshot of what performed best over a long period.

Squid Game: The Challenge may not be as big as the show that inspired it, but the competition series still got off to a very strong start.
Netflix’s unscripted offshoot of its most popular series of all time scored a strong opening in the Nielsen streaming rankings for Thanksgiving week. Adam Sandler’s animated movie Leo claimed the top spot overall, and Young Sheldon also joined the top 10 after making its Netflix debut.
Squid Game: The Challenge drew 1.42 billion minutes of viewing in the United States for the week of Nov. 20-26. It was the top streaming series for the week, beating out Bluey (1.17 billion minutes) on Disney+, and finished second overall behind the 1.53 billion minutes for Leo.
The Crown, which finished first overall the previous week, slipped to second among originals with 835 million minutes of viewing, an 11.5 percent decline from a week earlier. Disney+’s The Santa Clauses...

TV usage in November hit its highest point in 10 months, due in large part to heavy levels of viewing over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Broadcast networks also hit their highest share of viewing since January. Streaming once again claimed the biggest portion of viewers’ time, although its share was off a little from the previous month, and cable shrank some more to its lowest point in the two-year history of Nielsen’s monthly Gauge rankings.
TV use across all platforms grew by 5.7 percent compared to October, according to the ratings service. Broadcast networks outpaced that, improving by 7 percent in viewing time month to month. They accounted for 24.9 percent of all viewing for the month, up from 24.6 percent in October. Most of that bump came during Thanksgiving week: While three weeks prior to the holiday saw a modest gains of about 3 percent over the same period in October, the week of Nov.

The final season of The Crown got off to a slower start in Nielsen’s streaming rankings — which might have something to do with the fact that Netflix released only a part of the season.
The Emmy-winning drama was the most watched show on streaming for the week of Nov. 13-19, but its 943 million minutes of viewing was less than half of that for season five’s opening (2.13 billion minutes) a year ago. It’s worth noting that Netflix released just four of The Crown’s final 10 episodes on Nov. 16 rather than the full season; the remaining six debuted Dec. 14 (and, because of the four-week lag for Nielsen’s streaming charts, watch time figures for those episodes won’t be public until mid-January).

Loki scored its biggest tune-in of season two for the week of its finale, rising by almost 200 million minutes over the prior week. That’s the good news.
The bad news for the Marvel/Disney+ series is that despite the jump, Loki still finished its second season well behind the first in terms of viewing time, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings. Kids’ favorite Bluey led the overall rankings for the week of Nov. 6-12, and Friends continued to post higher than usual numbers two weeks after the death of star Matthew Perry.
Loki had 753 million minutes of viewing for the week (its finale debuted Nov. 9), a 34 percent jump from the previous week and its best showing of the season by a wide margin. The previous season two high was 588 million minutes for Oct. 9-15. Over the six weeks of season two, the series racked up about 3.39 billion minutes of...

‘Friends’ Was the No. 4 Most-Streamed Title of the Week Following Matthew Perry’s Death, Per Nielsen
“Friends” shot way up on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings after Matthew Perry, who starred in the show as Chandler Bing, died unexpectedly on Oct. 28.
The NBC sitcom was the fourth-most-streamed title of the week with 860 million minutes watched between Oct. 30 and Nov. 5. That’s a 48% increase from previous viewing period, which ended one day after Perry’s death. Nielsen also reports that two-thirds of “Friends” viewers during this period were under the age of 35 — meaning they had not been born when the show premiered in 1994.
The No. 1 title of the week was “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” which was viewed for 1.1 billion minutes in its first six days of availability on Netflix. (The film premiered in theaters on June 2.) The film dethroned last week’s winer, the Jennifer Lawrence-led “No Hard Feelings,” which dropped off of the overall Top 10 completely, but was the fifth-most-streamed movie of the week with 388 million minutes watched,...

Moonbug Entertainment, the kids’ entertainment powerhouse behind the hit “CoComelon” franchise, is bringing on board its first chief marketing officer: Peter Stone, a nine-year veteran of Netflix.
In the new role, Stone will be responsible for Moonbug’s global marketing strategy, as well as the evolution and growth of its brands. He will be based in Moonbug’s London office and starts Dec. 6, reporting to co-founder and CEO René Rechtman.
Stone joins Moonbug as the company says its brands “continue to see significant expansion.” Among recent developments, it called out Blippi’s debut on Roblox, “Morphle” soon launching on Disney+ and Disney Junior, and the new CoComelon show “CoComelon Lane” launching exclusively on Netflix.
Moonbug is part of Candle Media, the next-gen rollup play headed by ex-Disney execs Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs, backed by private-equity firm Blackstone Group. Candle acquired Moonbug in 2021 in a deal worth about $3 billion.

With the news of Matthew Perry’s death in late October, viewers seemingly turned to his best-known role as Chandler Bing on Friends to remember him.
The beloved comedy gathered 583 million minutes of viewing on Max for the week of Oct. 23-29 (Perry, 54, was found dead at his home on Oct. 28). That was a 31 percent gain over the previous week and the biggest total watch time for Friends since early February.
A pair of movies, No Hard Feelings and Five Nights at Freddy’s, also made strong showings on the Nielsen streaming charts for the week. The former, starring Jennifer Lawrence, led the rankings with 1.13 billion minutes of viewing on Netflix in the United States — the equivalent of about 10.97 full showings of the movie. That’s two thirds of the worldwide total Netflix reported in its own rankings for the week.

The run-up to Halloween proved to be a good time to release a new version of Goosebumps.
The series based on R.L. Stine’s beloved books broke into the top 10 overall for the week of Oct. 16-22. The show, which streams on both Disney+ and Hulu, racked up 594 million minutes of viewing for its second week of release, marking a rare non-Marvel or Star Wars original series entry for Disney+ in Nielsen’s rankings (being available on two platforms helped, as well).
Nielsen, incidentally, classified Goosebumps as an acquired show the previous week, apparently because of it being shared across the two platforms, before switching it to the originals column going forward.
The Fall of the House of Usher kept the No. 1 overall spot for the second straight week, growing by 19 percent over its opening to 1.47 billion minutes of viewing. Suits remained strong, recording its 18th straight week above a...

In its second showing on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10, “The Fall of the House of Usher” is already setting a strong show as it becomes the only title to consistently outperform “Suits” on the overall chart in back-to-back weeks since its Netflix debut.
During the viewing window, the Edgar Allen Poe-inspired series raked in an additional 1.5 billion minutes viewed during its first full week of availability, pushing it to No. 1 again with a 19% jump from its opening figure of 1.2 billion minutes.
“Suits” continued to remain in the No. 2 spot, but still maintained another week above the 1 billion minutes threshold with 1.06 billion minutes viewed across Netflix and Peacock — an impressive performance in its 18th consecutive week on the chart. To date, the series has accrued 45.445 billion minutes viewed. Landing just beneath is “Grey’s Anatomy,” which recorded 860 million minutes viewed.

For only the second time since its Netflix debut, “Suits” has dropped from the lead position on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10.
Unsurprisingly, the series didn’t fall far. It landed in second place with 1.1 billion minutes watched between Oct. 9 and Oct. 15, just slightly behind “The Fall of the House of Usher,” which took the No. 1 position with 1.2 billion minutes watched in its first four days of availability on Netflix.
The first time “Suits” was dethroned was by during the Sept. 11-17 viewing window thanks to the debut of “Virgin River” Season 5 Part 1.
In third place was “Grey’s Anatomy,” down from No. 2 the week before but still higher than the long-running medical drama usually charts. It was watched for 872 million minutes during this viewing window, and was followed by “Bluey,” the animated children’s series that has charted strongly in recent weeks and notched 781 million minutes watched this week.

For only the second time since mid-June, Suits is not the No. 1 title in Nielsen’s streaming rankings.
That honor belongs to Netflix’s The Fall of the House of Usher, which snagged the top spot for the week of Oct. 9-15. Writer-director Mike Flanagan’s spin on the titular Edgar Allan Poe story (and several others by the author) drew 1.23 billion minutes of viewing, edging out the 1.13 billion for Suits.
The latter series continued its months-long run above the billion-minute mark, however, and has now compiled almost 44.4 billion minutes (about 739.8 million hours) of viewing on Netflix and Peacock since it first hit the rankings in June. Nielsen notes that viewing of Suits’ ninth and final season, which is only available on Peacock, accounted for 6 percent of the weekly tally (about 67.6 million minutes) — the highest percentage for those episodes since the other eight seasons debuted on Netflix.

The return of Loki to Disney+ didn’t cause quite as big a stir as the show’s debut.
Season two of the Marvel series premiered Oct. 5, and it gathered 446 million minutes of viewing time over its first three days and change (it was released at 9 p.m. Et/6 p.m. Pt Oct. 5 in the United States), according to Nielsen’s streaming rankings. That’s about 39 percent lower than the 731 million minutes of viewing for Loki’s series premiere week in June 2021.
Disney said that the season two premiere, which runs 47 minutes, had 10.9 million “views” worldwide, which would equate to about 512 million minutes of watch time (the increasingly standard definition of a streaming view is total viewing time divided by run time). The 446 million minutes recorded by Nielsen includes viewing of season one’s six episodes as well, so it’s hard to say exactly how much time U.S.

“Suits” has been the most-streamed title of the week for the 15th time, per Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings. Each of these wins has been consecutive save for one, when the long-concluded USA show was dethroned by “Virgin River,” thanks to its summer debut on Netflix after previously streaming only on Peacock.
Second place went to “Grey’s Anatomy.” The medical drama often makes the chart as a result of frequent rewatching, but it saw larger viewership than usual during the Oct. 2-8 window, reaching 1 billion minutes watched for the first time since 2020.
“Haunted Mansion” took third place. The movie debuted on Disney+ on Oct. 4 and was watched for 992 billion minutes in its first five days of streaming availability, having premiered in theaters in July. It was followed by another movie: “Reptile,” which debuted at No. 6 with 740 million minutes watched last week before shooting up to fourth place with 838 million minutes watched this week.

“Old Dads,” Bill Burr’s directorial debut, continues to remain in the top spot on the Netflix Top 10. During the Oct. 23-29 viewing window, the film raked in an additional 16.3 million views — a slight jump from the opening weekend’s 13.3 million views — pushing the total tally to 29.6 million views in its first 10 days of availability.
Coming in second place on the English-language films list is “Pain Hustlers.” Starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, the film scored 14.1 million views in its debut weekend. Netflix isn’t a stranger to many genres these days, making it hard to sort your way through all sorts of films, shows, and specials. That’s particularly difficult when it comes to its animated offerings. Netflix offers cartoons aimed at all ages and demographics — from preschoolers to tweens and teens to raunchier adult audiences — through a variety of animated titles in its catalogue. The platform releases shows and movies made in the medium frequently, and even if it’s easy to tell a kids show from “Big Mouth” it can be tough to sort through the crowded genre.
What’s worse, animation can often be ignored or disregarded in entertainment and it seems at times on the platform. Consider the case of “Tuca & Bertie,” a truly original and lovely show that had just one season at the streamer before it was forced to fly the coop for Adult Swim.

When Dancing With the Stars this Tuesday pays proper tribute to the late Len Goodman, one of the competition series’ most prolific pros — Cheryl Burke — will be oddly absent.
Goodman, who judged both DWTS and BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing for many years, died in late April after a battle with bone cancer, at age 78. In last month’s season premiere, DWTS hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro paid a brief tribute to Goodman, and announced that the show’s Mirrorball Trophy was now named after the former head judge.

Well, that didn’t last long.
It appeared that the reign of “Suits” on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 had finally come to a close during the Sept. 11-17 viewing window, when “Virgin River” bumped it to the second most-streamed title of the week after 12 weeks on top. But “Virgin River” fell to third place during the Sept. 18-24 window, while “Elemental” rose to second place, leaving the No. 1 position open again for “Suits” with 1.8 billion minutes watched.
“Virgin River’s” slide to No. 3 was expected, as Sept. 18-24 marked the second week of full availability of Season 5 Part 1. The series was watched for a still impressive 1.2 billion minutes this window. The final two episodes of Season 5 will release on Netflix on Nov. 30.
“Elemental” scored third place with its Disney+ debut last week after releasing in theaters earlier this year. In its first full week of streaming availability, the movie was watched for 1.3 billion minutes.

After a week in second place, Suits returned to the top of the streaming charts, extending its record run as the No. 1 overall title in Nielsen’s weekly rankings. Netflix’s Sex Education also scored well for the week of its final season premiere, and a pair of HBO series joined the rankings after their Netflix debuts.
Suits drew 1.79 billion minutes of viewing on Netflix and Peacock in the United States for the week of Sept. 18-24 — marking its 13th week as the overall No. 1 in the rankings and extending its own record. In the 14 weeks since it first made the rankings, the legal drama has racked up 40.55 billion minutes of viewing — more than 9 billion minutes more than the second-place show for 2023, Bluey on Disney+ (the kids’ favorite had 856 million minutes of viewing for the week).

“The Fall of the House of Usher” opened in second place the Netflix Top 10 English-Language TV chart during the Oct. 9-15 viewing window as it conjured up 6.3 million total views in its first four days of availability. Hailing from “The Haunting of Hill House” creator Mike Flanagan and based on the writings of Edgar Allen Poe, the chilling limited series was undoubtedly pushed by the spooky season as viewers watched the Usher family dynasty rise and crumble.
