Like other fans, I've been waiting years for the show to come back. I totally understand the delay with the pandemic and with the passing of the beautiful Naya Rivera (RIP). I gave this a 7/10 because I still have high hopes for the series, despite a season premiere that just fell short for me.

Christina Milan isn't bad as Colette Jones and I hope she grows on me, but Naya WAS Colette. Gorgeous and sassy with the right amount of boss b!tch in her that made you love her. I'm not too familiar with the new Tal, but I prefer him to the previous Tal from seasons one and two. So a good sign.

I just binged the show again so I didn't need to be caught up, but the flashbacks were necessary to catch everyone else up who didn't do so. Uncle Al is my favorite character. I do hope we see more of him since he's a bright light to the show and his one liners are the best. I love Davis and Odalie, but Davis and his hot/cold attitude towards their relationship is getting old. The sex scene with them was a shock. I understand it's on STARZ now instead of YouTube, but it felt out of place and unnecessary. I know it's not a family show, ya know, with all the swearing, but adding nudity just because it's on STARZ doesn't really flow. Rigo and Poppy are great as always. So nothing different there.

Sage does get arrested and leaves for Philly instead of staying put per his lawyer's instruction and gets an ankle bracelet restricting him from attending his own tour. So what does Colette suggest? They need an equally famous talent to go on for him for a few dates to "fill some seats" until he clears him name. So who is this massive talent? RIGO. Are. You. KIDDING?? Rigo literally has one hit and he's all of a sudden a huge star that can headline an arena tour? C'mon now. I did like Davis acting as a second opening act. He has a good voice and he's a great dancer, so this I enjoyed.

I'm not sure what's going to happen in the next episode, but they need to implement more of the original flavor that they brought to the first two seasons. I'll be watching, but I hope I'm not disappointed.
