Jon's hair is like the Charlie Brown Xmas tree- shake it and it falls out!

Warning: Spoilers
Kate is unhappy that Jon is going bald so, at her persistence, Jon agrees to look into having hair transplants. He acts like losing his hair doesn't really bother him, that he is just doing it for Kate. So apparently Kate is pretty shallow and loves her husband based on his appearance. Gee - I hope she doesn't get fat or wrinkles some day or Jon might not be so kind to her.

Kate talks about when she met Jon "his hair was gelled with long tendrils and was so beautiful". Jon reminds her that HER hair was long and blonde when he met her - and now it is short and dark. Kate says she has an excuse because women's hair always get shorter when they have kids. Sounds like a double standard on Kate's part to me. And I have kids and still have long hair - so the two are not mutually exclusive! Kate says she doesn't REALLY mind the balding, but that it is just a sad reminder that he is getting old.

The New Hair Institute contacted them and said they have a new procedure and would like to offer the service for free. Jon looks at it as a trade off for the tummy tuck procedure Kate had. Maybe they are in a competition for plastic surgery procedures. Jodi is coming to watch the kids while Jon and Kate are in LA - and all the kids are sick with flu. Instead of canceling the trip, they go anyways. Jodi will have the 8 Gosslin kids, plus 4 or her own, for 3 days. That's 12 kids - you have got to be kidding me. I wonder does Kate ever return the favor and watch Jodi's 4 kids for her? Somehow I doubt it.

The procedure takes existing hair on Jon's head, and moves it to a new location. Jon says Kate makes him feel insecure in front of the doctors because she belittles him in front of them. At one point, the doctor asks who wears the pants in the family, and Kate says "He does." They laugh and Jons says "That's the 1st lie she has ever told."

They go through all the description of the procedure and meds etc. That was very boring - who cares really. Really, the whole episode was not interesting because it was all about Jon and Kate - it had very little with the kids. We all know we watch for the kids - so please quit focusing on the parents. I find them annoying. They get into an argument after the procedure because Jon wants to put on his tobaggon which the doctors said was not allowed. He does anyway and when he pulls it off, it causes his head to bleed. Jon says ultimately fashion is all important to him.

When they get home, Kate has to remove 30 staples from Jon's scalp 10 days later. Jon yells and whines the whole time. He accuses her of being rough on him on purpose. They close the episode by saying they are so blessed with all the STUFF people have given them. That they can't afford to do stuff like this themselves - that they would never take money out of providing for their family to do stuff like this. It sounds like a pitch to get more stuff given or donated to them. I guess breast implants must be next on Kate's wish list. After all, its HER turn next.

This was my least favorite episode. I think it focuses on the shallowness of the parents - and the fact they would leave their sick kids is deplorable. No one should have to watch someone else's kids - especially when there is 12 to be watched- when they are sick.
