It's been a rocky 2 years and this film is just what I needed. Took my daughter yesterday in Tucson and really enjoyed it - so relatable and for moms we sometimes get the short end of the stick. In love this family, not nearly as much as my own but really loved it - it's really a fun one. Go see it.
This movie was beyond horrendous. Any score above 4, if you click on the users names, its the only review they have ever done and a recently created account. Clearly trying to prop up the movie.
I wouldn't watch this again even if i was paid $100. I don't need $100 that badly to be put through this again.

I just watched this film and was thoroughly impressed. I went into it expecting a lifetime movie of the week. Instead, I found a character driven story about a woman juggling motherhood while wrestling her own insecurities. The movie had plenty of heart and left you with a feeling that only a Christmas movie can. The acting was strong, too, especially the girl who played the daughter.
The movie just dragged on! It's not funny or entertaining, even the "drama and comedy skits" are boring as heck. Seriously boring, the drama was incredibly mundane, it's like watching a kid trying to throw a fit without actually crying. Everything just seemed forced and unnatural. The actors didn't even seem to want to be there. They litterally seemed like "is the scene done? Cool, I got a thing to get to"
Honestly it's not worth the time to watch. It litterally felt like a 3 or 4 hour movie, it just seemed to keep going and there's nothkng to keep your attention. Sorry if that's mean, it's just the truth.

The ratings are all over the place for this film maybe its a love hate type of thing -- I actually rented this on cable with my wife thinking its was a comedy, its not a comedy but it has some funny moments but the drama side caught me for surprise. My wife loved it and that was all I could ask for. I am a big Chris Elliott Fan -- love everything he does, it was a different role for him but it worked and the family grew on me as well. It isn't the fastest moving film out there and not too much of XMAS glitz but it has a really good message if you pay attention to it. I give it a great effort for trying to be its own thing and not pump out the same man + girl falling in love type story on Lifetime. It was something I could actually watch and tell people at work what I did. Dog was cute too.
