Into Temptation

My Year In Vinyl, 2016
Happy New Year! It's been a tumultuous year for me and for many of us of a certain age. I lost a brother. The world lost a slew of pop culture -- Carrie Fisher, Alan Richman, Craig Sager, John Glenn -- and music icons -- Bowie, Prince, Leonard Cohen, George Michael, et al. One comfort for me was music and my rediscovery of vinyl. The warm, comforting sound of analog became my daily meditative fix. Quite literarily. Seeking out vinyl "nuggets" became a quest to help me deal with my own pain and depression. Chasing down albums that I owned thirty years, abadonded at the advent of those shiny new things called compact discs. Restorative analog power reigned o'er me. One of my chief caveats: I would not purchase anything on vinyl that I already owned on compact disc. Well, that rule didn't last long as I found comfort in...

Maura Tierney and Dominic West in The Affair (2014)
‘The Affair’ Review: Showtime's Infidelity Drama Isn't Likable Enough for a Heavy Commitment
Maura Tierney and Dominic West in The Affair (2014)
“The Affair” begins in hindsight, after things have gone terribly wrong. We just don't know how. That layer of mystery saves Showtime's new infidelity drama from the clichéd middle-aged hookup at its core. In this he said-she said retelling, the truth can be elusive, and the emotions overheated. But at least it's not rote, and for now that's enough to tip the scales slightly in its favor. See video: ‘The Affair's’ Dominic West and Ruth Wilson Give Into Temptation in New Teaser For reasons not clear on the first episode, streaming in advance of the show's pay cable debut after “Homeland” next Sunday,...

'Suburgatory's' Jeremy Sisto loves his kids and 'The Deer Hunter'
On ABC's Wednesday sitcom "Suburgatory," which launched a new season in January, Jeremy Sisto plays George Altman, an architect and single father of a teen daughter (Jane Levy) who moves to the suburbs to give her a better life. He discovers life there is different, but whether it's better is a work in progress.

In real life, Sisto is a 39-year-old father of two: daughter Charlie and baby son Bastian. He got married to wife Addie a few months after his daughter was born, but Sisto has no regrets about taking the plunge.

"I love my family," he tells Zap2it. "I have a great wife. It took me a while to figure that out and commit, but now I'm really happy I did. She's a human being, and we're committed to each other. It's a nice thing. The kids are just amazing. It's a different level."

As to whether...

Alyssa Milano Sex Tape ‘Leaks’ — Watch Now
Uh-oh! Is Alyssa the latest Hollywood starlet caught in the middle of a sex-tape scandal?

Alyssa Milano taped herself and a mysterious hunk having sex — and no, it wasn’t a deleted scene from Mistresses. The 40-year-old actress starts the video off by seducing a man in her bed, surrounded by rose petals, while on a romantic vacation in Cabo. Things get pretty hot and steamy from there, until the camera falls to the ground and…

Alyssa Milano Releases ‘Funny or Die’ Sex Tape — All The ‘Racy’ Details

The camera points to the TV where a newscaster starts talking about Syria — because the “sex tape” is just a Funny or Die video. Good one, Alyssa! Instead of putting on a sexy show, Alyssa sends a strong message to the world: Be more concerned about the chemical war in Syria — not dirty celebrity sex tapes.

The funny girl isn’t holding...

Alyssa Milano Goes Braless At 40 In A Tight Dress — Too Risky?
The star was strutting her stuff in NYC where her nipples did all the talking. Do you think the fact that she forgot her bra at home was stylish or sloppy? Vote!

Alyssa Milano may be 40 but she’s looking better than ever — and she certainly knows it! The star looked vibrant in a form-fitting orange sheath in NYC on July 8 when she stepped out to promote her new show, Mistresses. The Brooklyn native seemed very comfortable in her hometown, strutting her stuff in a really tight dress with virtually no support! Her visible nips made it clear that she left her bra at home — but should she still be going braless?

Alyssa Milano’s Braless Pic:

Alyssa donned a gorgeous orange Alice + Olivia dress while in NYC. The bodycon frock featured a high neckline and formed perfectly to her fabulous figure — but even with the silhouette of the dress...

The Producers Handbook
John Lee's book The Producer's Handbook is used by most film schools as a text covering the business, finance and distribution responsibilities of motion picture producers, ‘The Producer’s Business Handbook’ provides a comprehensive orientation to those desiring to become producers, as well as those focused specifically in finance, distribution, banking, completion bonds, legal, company operations and other aspects unique to the business of motion pictures. In addition to thorough orientation, this book also provides a CD with spreadsheets, organization charts and other elements enabling readers to put what they learn to use. Also included in the book are helpful statistics and charts indicating global positioning and trends.

One reader had this to say:

If you’re planning to produce a movie or thinking about investing in a movie and

want a realistic, in-depth look at the business of show business, you need to

Cheyenne Carron Prays Deliver Us Not Into Temptation
I need to preface the following by saying that I believe that we did ourselves no favors here in North America when we started referring to pornography as 'adult entertainment' or 'adult movies'. And I will go farther and say that I sincerely believe that the rise of 'adult entertainment' through the seventies and eighties has a direct link to the decline of actual adult entertainment - i.e. films produced dominantly for adults in their thirties and higher - over that same period. Because, quite simply, if you made a film for an adult audience you couldn't market it that way any more with inadvertently also attaching the stigma of smut, whether it was there or not. So now the vast majority of films are made for teens or kids or fall into a small collection of clearly labeled, easily marketed genres that cross age barriers and the grown...

Horror Comes From Next Door
Know what we can never have too many of? Ghost stories, that's what. Just like zombie flicks, these other dead things that go bump in the night are much beloved by horror hounds everywhere, and with good reason. When done right, they can be downright terrifying! There's a new one on the way that will hopefully make the cut ... Next Door.

This new indie spook 'em up is being directed by Andrew Sawyer (no relation to Bubba or that other family of loonies) and is set to star Sal Lizard (The Box, Hillbilly Bob Zombie, Super Tromette Action Movie Go!), Nicole Kruex (Terror Overload, Into Temptation, Faux), Christina Rondano, and even the star of the original The Crazies Lynn Lowry!

The story centers upon Anna, a single woman and bookkeeper for a New York firm, who wins a bid on a house in a small town in Massachusetts. After being...

Kristin Chenoweth in The West Wing (1999)
Chenoweth Risks Upsetting Parents With Controversial New Roles
Kristin Chenoweth in The West Wing (1999)
Former The West Wing star Kristin Chenoweth is set to test her conservative parents again by playing a "suicidal prostitute" in a new movie and singing about dirty sex and bowel movements online.

The actress/singer has to be careful with the professional choices she makes after upsetting her mum with a swimsuit spread in FHM magazine.

And she admits her latest roles, in independent film Into Temptation and as part of a FunnyOrDie.com comedy skit about drug abuse, won't exactly thrill her religious folks back in Oklahoma.

She explains, "(In Into Temptation) I play, like, a suicidal prostitute. It was filmed in Minneapolis, which is beautiful, but it was bad weather... I was depressed. It was easy to play."

And she jokes that when her folks see the film, she'll insist she's not in it: "(I'll say) I wasn't there... It's one of the Olsens (twins)."

But, at least this time she's letting her folks know, unlike when she posed in a bikini for FHM.

She recalls, "I decided to wait until it came out to tell them and that was probably my mistake. My mom called me and she was crying and she said, 'Y'know, I can't go to 7-Eleven (convenience store) or church ever again.' It was so cute... I didn't do it nude or anything."

Chenoweth admits she has been offered a string of raunchy roles, and Playboy magazine bosses have asked her to bare all - but she refuses to show too much skin.

She adds, "I have a nephew that's 16 and I just think he's gonna see whatever it is I do... I don't see anything wrong with doing a swimsuit shot or anything but beyond that..."

Meanwhile, in her new FunnyOrDie.com spoof of hard-hitting TV series Intervention, Chenoweth sings a Broadway-style number while trying to force a gay man with a crystal meth addiction to seek help.

She says, "I was a little nervous (about it) at first... with the subject matter and singing, 'You make cash giving head, and you use it to buy Sudafed!' (I thought) 'Did I really want my young fans hearing me say that?'"...

New York -- On October 14, 2008, Sony BMG Masterworks will release Kristin Chenoweth's new Christmas CD "A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas." For her third album, Chenoweth covers a wide range of Christmas songs from "Christmas Island," popularized by The Andrews Sisters, to Kristin's personal favorite. "Come on Ring Those Bells."

Recorded at Capitol Recording Studios' legendary Studios A and B where Sinatra, Judy Garland and Nat King Cole all etched their Christmas standards, "A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas" is an eclectic combination of full orchestral arrangements, along with big band, a bit of tropical island flavor, pop and country.

In addition to well-known Christmas classics such as "Silver Bells" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas," Chenoweth reinterprets Louis Armstrong's modern standard "What a Wonderful...
