Fascinated with the climax
manirsoffl30 July 2021
Though it started with the normal murder investigation thriller, the climax portion that makes me amazed. They have taken an absolutely out of box story and make it correct way to reach and make connect for the audience. Actual story revloves around the three immense characters that written well in the beginning itself. A great effort and that too not went in vein, thats the victory here. Of course there are some logical flaws with timeline but it still gripping and fascinating. Do watch it without expectations, it will give you a different experience. Just wow.

Bold attempt

Warning: Spoilers
I already saw Predestination with similar plot and amazed! I still give 10/10 because, I never thought the climax twist. Since the Kollywood never touched this area. Till the end I was not able to guess it. I usually do guess the crime themes, this is second time after D16 I missed to see what's coming. Good work Congrats to the team.

Caught offguard with the climax twist..!!
grarunkumar19941 August 2021
Thittam Irandu (Plan2/B) is a film carrying social message disguised as a crime thriller. It is indeed a well crafted film.

It starts off with a crime and an investigation following it, spear headed by a cop, played by Aiswarya Rajesh. She did carry almost entire film on her shoulders, with grace devoid of usual shortcomings in female led films- over dramatization, poor dialogues and a line on women empowerment. She never looked prettier than this.

Supporting cast including Gokul, Jeeva etc were good and it stood smoothly with the plot.

There are two parellel plot lines converging in the end, giving the viewers a surprise that is both expected and unexpected at the same time- though a social issue, the climax was indeed a total let down if viewed as a 'crime film'. Yet there is no better thrilling way to keep audience hooked enough to convey the social message.

As a hardcore fan of crime genre, this although has a surprise at the end, was quite a disappoinment for me. Personal opinion 6/10.

One of the best plot twists ever in Indian Cinema
naveensuresh-8632831 July 2021
A good one tym watchable investigation thriller movie with a brilliant plot twist in the end. Definitely a must watch movie. Though it follows a thriller treatment , the social message which was intended to convey to the audience was brilliantly rendered.

Could have been better, but a story worth telling
naveenkrishnanh2 August 2021
I have mixed feelings about the movie.

On one hand the depiction, reasearch and convincing acting around gender identity crisis, social stigma and the related problems are spot on.

The detective part was kinda ok ( at times boring, but again ok).

But the movie lacks good editing and screenplay is hit and miss ( good and terrible sporadically).

The most glaring bit seems to be casting ! You don't grow height as part of treatment ! Also no matter what, the bone structure does not change ( facial hair - not as much as the lead here obviously, facial features, musculature etc. Are true)

Very good trailer, but movie was not that good!
maruthuk-214709 August 2021
As the trailer was very good, was very much interested and looking forward to the movie. It started well and had all the ingredients to make it a very good crime thriller. Screenplay was also good till the second half, but second half was disappointing. Acting of Aishwarya Rajesh was not good and some of the romance scenes could have been better done. In the midst of the negatives mentioned above, cinematography of @Gokul Benoy was too good and superb! 👍👏

An impactful thriller that carries and important message!
nidhunmoviebuff31 July 2021
Despite its many narrative flaws, Thittam Irandu ends up being an impactful watch because of the social message that it carries and ultimately portrays with nuance and subtlety.

Aishwarya Rajesh carries this film as a dutiful Chennai cop who gets caught up in the investigation behind the suspicious murders of two married women. The clues lead her down a rabbit hole filled with deceit and deception and nothing is what is seems.

The supporting includes a superb Subash Selvan, Paval Navageetham and the brilliant Ananya Ramprasad who steals the show. The fact that director Vignesh Karthick conveys such an important message through a thriller that keeps us on the edge of our seats deserved much praise.

The movie will test your patience in the second half as the narrations slows down and drags significantly in portions but the hard-hitting climax is well worth the wait.

An important film that packs a punch. Recommended!

AN EXCELLENT STORY LINE....
ericsaju-124033 August 2021
The movie starts by showing some crime scene. The movie clearly tells the relationship between two "friends" named "Athira and Surya". From the beginning of the movie Athira ( a police officer) came to know that her best friend"Surya" murdered brutally. Athira investigate to find the killer. But the movie comes with an "Unexpected Twist".. The movie tells us a "Great Message".

Overall" Nice Movie" and Must watch Movie".

Review of Thittam Irandu (Plan B), on Sony LIV: A Messy, Garbled Mix Of Genres And Ideas
shefali-5924430 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Adhira (Aishwarya Rajesh) is very different from the female cop roles our stars usually get to play. Of course she's tough from the outside with a razor-sharp work ethic, but at least there's an attempt to show a human side to this otherwise uni-dimensional archetype. For instance, Inspector Adhira explains the problems she's dealing with on the matrimonial front. She gets her share of proposals but these men are generally reserved or afraid of her profession, she adds, wondering how long it has been since she last flirted with a guy. She's a big fan of romances like Alaipayuthey and admits she wants all the love and attention any woman her age would want. She pays the bill at restaurants and it's obvious she earns more than Arjun (Subash Selvam), her boyfriend, but none of this is shown like it's supposed to be a big deal.

Final reveal saves the movie
mysteryajeeth-526-69318214 August 2021
Another investigation thriller where the whole movie is based on the final reveal but the proceedings leading up to it are very ordinary. Nevertheless it is engaging throughout and no matter how hard you try to find the twist you will end up getting surprised like never before !

Bit confused. This is another version of Bommalattam movie
karthikkumaravel-525672 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First about the director. Vignesh Karthick started his career in KPY as a comedy contestant. Then kings of comedy, RJ, VJ, dubbing artist, actor, serial artist and finally a director too. I have watched his previous short film yours shamefully 2.

Right from the trailer, this movie had the same tone and mood setting of yours shamefully 2. That 2nd heroine acted in aadai movie. Aishwarya Rajesh's heroine based movie Mei was also an awareness movie.

So I had a prediction that this movie would conclude with a social message. So in all the murder and drama I was expecting what social message would come out. Affair, caste, honor killing, personality disorder, identity disorder and many. At one point I thought Aishwarya Rajesh is going to be that missing girl or to an extreme Subash(Arjun character) is going to be that girl. In climax he is going to remove his beard, wig and reveal the identity.

But that reveal scene was bit different though. Director tried to deliver a message. Though he conveyed the message it was just forced to audience.

The entire movie is full of plot holes and drama. Missions of the movie: 1. Kill Surya and create Arjun 2. Aadhira should fall in love with Arjun.

2nd one was okay because a boy and girl fall in love, they get married. I don't understand the drama for 1st one. The identity of Surya should be vanished so they plotted a murder. But why that murder was assigned to Aishwarya? Don't they know that she might go to any extreme to find the truth about her childhood close friend? Instead this case might have been plotted to be assigned to some other officer or police station, finished all the procedures and just delivered the message to Aishwarya. In that scenario she might not be soo involved in the case and they could've accomplished both the missions.

This movie lags technical wise as well. Editing was poor. So many jumps between scenes. Too many loopholes. Logic mistakes. Even same dialog is repeated in cctv scenes. So many lip sync issues, overlap dialogues (her lip sync says polam but background dubbing says kelambalam)

An handicapped guy suddenly turns into a normal person and escapes from police are MGR Nambiar age movie twist. When a suspect gets caught around half time of the movie, it is very clear he would not be the killer. Climax inconclusive is expected (no voice over needed. Just could've ended the movie like vtv, aayirathil oruvan, briyani. Audience have developed. They can understand)

Surya had harmone issues so she changed, husband helped, police helped, forensic doctor helped all fine. But how would they expect Aadhira should love Arjun who is Surya. It's her decision. She has full right to say No. If identity is not known it's a whole different story. But when it's known he says I will give you 1 year time you think and decide. It just doesn't make sense. It's not even a mutual feeling.

The moment that forensic guy said 'its not surya's body at all' my mind straight away went to Bommalattam movie. Immediately mapped the characters. Rukmini - Surya, Nana Patekar - Surya's husband, Arjun - Aadhira (Subash's name is also Arjun in this movie so easy to map) Only difference was in Bommalattam a boy acts as a girl for profession but in this movie a girl completely turns into a boy.

I have seen Subash account in insta but never knew this guy could act good. Impressive debut. I guess he did some cameo in Dhayam movie but this one can be named as a formal debut movie.

Watch this movie if you're bored. Trim the climax scene and share in social media for social awareness.

Heart skipped a beat
meenaal-600-47495330 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I won't comment on story line.

Proper proportion of Thriller and Emotion throughout the movie.

Till last minute it will engage you, for a second your heart will skip a beat in the end.

Two things I liked about is 1) The (Actor/Actress) more or less matched, (you will understand once watch the movie) 2) Every then and there direct have given hints, but naturally you will ignore them, because your mind will occupy on murder case and next moves

Worth watching, one time,, all the actor/actress have great skills they will shine in near future, if they get good opportunity. Ashiwary is established actress though.

This movie will become a talk of the town.

Congrats to Director, for this new experiment and succeeding on the same.

Thanks, Meena.

gargsharsh26 November 2021
This movie has a bit of decent story line but the execution and the actors just made it unbearable totally. If just one thing eigther the cast or the direction would have a tat better this movie would have worked prefectly.. there is no way this deserve more that 3/10.
