A little too soon, but good
BandSAboutMovies9 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Hey, did you know there's a pandemic? Well, if you didn't this film will remind you. As for me, I use movies as an escape, so confronting it through film felt, well, not like something I wanted to do. But I pushed on and watched this anyway.

As a virus spreads quickly throughout the world, Jason (Ian Stout) slowly comes to terms with the fact that his life of working in a restaurant and being a playwright at night may never come back. So as writer's block sets in, he turns to online dating, where he meets a friend for the Apocalpyse in Sorrel (Tiffany Groben).

Jason's family tries to reach him as well, to varying degrees of success, but until he starts dating Sorrel, he's so self-obsessed that you may find yourself having difficulty relating to him.

LIke I said, it was hard for me to get excited about a romcom set during the days of COVID-19, but you may feel differently. That said, making a film - much less during our uncertain times - is a real accomplishment.

Simply addictive! I enjoyed every bit of it...!

It's been a long time since the last time I watched a movie that is so simple, human, direct, sensitive, truthful, insightful, and meaningful! They say that low budget movies could be real gems. Well, in this case, this is absolutely true. With decency and respect, the movie is touching a very delicate issue: the human relationships in extraordinary times. And is doing it very successfully. A big bravo to Ian Stout and Tiffany Groben for their excellent performance! They delivered pure acting art. An acting art at its best. No CGI, no special FX. Just good script and brilliant acting. Bravo to all the guys that worked for this masterpiece. I have already watched it about 5 or 6 times, and I bet I will watch it many more times. Its' simply addictive...

Such a relatable film. I actually went through something similar funnily enough but yeah really likeable characters and in all a nice flick to watch on the weekend. I highly recommend this!
