Sex & Nudity

- A pool scene features a number of bikini-clad women. We see both Vernon and Eddie bare-chested in different scenes. Eddie gets out of bed wearing only underwear.
- Conversations include comments about sperm and condoms.
- A lot more sexual content in the unrated cut sex scenes from the PG-13 version last a little longer in the unrated cut also.
- In the unrated cut a woman rides the protagonist her bare breasts are shown but oddly pixelated and blurred.
- In the unrated cut a woman is shown on top a man having sex out of focus. In the theatrical release the same scene is shown but the sex is obscured by a laptop screen, only bare legs are visible.
- A woman's panties are shown around her ankle accompanied with the sounds of moaning implying sex this is extremely brief.
- A man and a woman have sex in a nightclub bathroom: we see the woman's foot with her panties dangling around it propped on a sink and we hear moaning.
- 3 sex scenes.
- A man has sex with a woman, we could see her bare breasts as she is humping him and starts to slide her hands on it.
Violence & Gore

- A man opens a box and we see the severed hands of his bodyguards inside (blood shown on the hands). We see the severed hands of two men locked inside a safe and one is posed in an obscene hand gesture.
- Unrated cut lingers more on bloody detail.
- A blind person points a gun at two people, one mimicks another man's voice telling him to shoot to the right, leading to that other man being shot 3 times, the man falls to the floor, dead (blood shown on his clothing).
- A man stabs another man in the stomach, he drives the knife deep in his abdomen, blood spurts and we see blood pool on the floor under the man after he falls dead. The stabber then drinks his blood seeping on the floor in order to have NZT in him.
- A man with a hypodermic needle in his mouth stabs another man in the eye with it (the man screams, we see the needle sticking out of his eye and we see blood on and around his eye).
- A man is surrounded by other men in a train station and they fight with punches and kicks: he sticks his thumbs on one man's mouth, he strikes another men in the throat, he kicks another man in the groin and his leg is injured when he is kicked (no blood is evident).
- A man climbs into a taxi where a woman is, she gets out and runs, the man chases her and she hides among rocks in a park.
- We see a man lying dead in a hospital bed and his face is covered with a sheet.
- A man shoots around an apartment erratically trying to shoot someone that he cannot see.
- A man is found dead on his couch. He is covered in cuts and bruises. Not graphic. In the unrated version the body is seen with a gaping bullet hole through the head with some blood and brain matter dripping down the side of his head onto his shoulder.
- A man punches Edward in the stomach in his apartment.
- A man with a knife stabs two men; one man is stabbed and we hear a crunch and see blood spraying from his abdomen and the other is stabbed three times (we hear crunching but do not see blood).
- A woman runs from a man and onto an ice skating rink, she lifts a young skater, twirls her around and her skates slash the man following her on the face (we see a large bloody gash on his cheek).
- A man pushes a piano into a man, breaking through a plate glass window and we see the man lying dead with blood on his face.
- A man gets stabbed in a park. Neither the stabbing nor the aftermath is seen. The main character finds out he got stabbed after he see's some of his blood seeping from his suit.
- A man pushes another man up against a roller door asking for money.
- A man shoves another man and punches him in the stomach, and the other man falls to the floor.

- The whole movie is about how the main character has become a genius by abusing a drug, we see him abusing it throughout the movie.

- A man stands on a balcony ledge on a tall building and moves toward the edge preparing to jump.
- We hear pounding on a heavy door and men yelling on the outside.
- We hear that a bunch of people died after taking NZT and we hear reports of people getting sick.
- The movie intensifies as the main character can't keep up with his drug addiction.
- Throughout the movie there are many psychedelic camera scenes that can make some people dizzy or sick.
