Frightening & Intense Scenes
- There are many scenes that are intense. Several crashes with fire. One specific incident may be frightening because the capsule lights on fire and explodes with three astronauts inside. The explosion is off-screen and we are later told that they are dead. This is a short scene but can be unsettling, especially for people with claustrophobia.
- There is a sad subplot involving a child that is terminally ill and eventually dies. This mostly happens early in the film and is not drawn out, but it affects the main character and we are shown flashbacks of the child a few times throughout the story.
- There is a scene where the Gemini 8 rocket begins to spin uncontrollably and gets very loud and intense. The other pilot next to Neil quickly loses consciousness and Neil almost passes out to, it takes nearly 5 minutes of screen time to stabilise the spinning, though the real event lasted for about an hour
