fabulous

I have to admit that the series "Adventure of an Arlequin" are more than success for the public Bulgarian television. My sincere admirations to the producer who has approved such an approach to reveal the stories. And best choice to produce this lovely and human story where each Bulgarian can see pieces his own life. Bulgaria- the poorest member of EU –and its population of martyrs dwelling in the world of extreme differences and dragging their miserable lives. The authors have decided that the feature story should look very much like a document of the time. The actors are fabulous. All well known actors are simply fantastic. So are the youngsters first time on screen and the non professionals. They are in perfect symbiosis. Especially in the musical part three where one wonders who are the folk singers and who and actress all working for the homogeny beauty of the narration. The music score is so lovely and rich the melodies kept on haunting me for days on end. The story of the simple man on the run for his survival is an ever lasting theme in the history of cinema. And the Bulgarian authors have truly made it sound both realistic and with spicy sense of humor. I have had more expectation in the artistic performance of the lead the Arlequin – T. Kolev could have been better. The screenplay is much more powerful full of flavor and with a more devoted leading actor could be much more charming. But nevertheless or because of it Kolev still provokes sympathy .

marvellous third part

I am an admirer of the third part of the mini series "The Adventures of an Arlequin". In fact if there is something that annoyed me is the lead actor Kolev. According to me this actor is ruining the series, unlike the rest of the wonderful actors so real and true to their characters his turtle face is rarely funny for a four hours feature .Th third part is probably my favorite because Kolev appear as little as possible. I love the part of the professional singers with their actors parts like Emi Stambolova. The remarkable star beauty singer Svetla Ivanova as artistic as gifted actress so incredible natural in front of the cameras with her magnetic presence on the screen. All the singers musicians and actor as well as the ballet sparkle with artistic inventions. They are like fireworks. The third part of "The Adventures of an Arlequin"is like the Bulgarian version of "Cotton Club"in the years of changes and its of some lost generation.

Brilliant TV series.

It is hard to portrait contemporary post socialist country without bitterness seeing only its dark side. That is what all the post communist cinematography's are showing to the world all the past almost 20 years. It is a miracle to make a comedy out of this matter and twice impossible to be created a comedy series. This is what has been already done by the series of the Bulgarian national television. "The Adventures of an Arlequin" is a beautiful soft tale of Bulgaria today but told with a smile and just a little tear pending on the edge of the eyelid. Brilliant series. Wonderful screenwriter good skillful direction and perfect narration by Todor Kolev. All the casting is so picturesque simply impeccable. And all the story is settled in the whirlpool of a magnificent music where echo notes as brilliant as those of Nino Rota.

amusing

The television series "The Adventures an Arlequin" produced by the National Bulgarian television are a rare example of artistic achievement and a popular story told true the means of a comedy narration. It is amusing and burst in laughter and the same time it is tells so much of the contemporary life we all go through. The obstacles the characters of the films meet with are quite the same as each Bulgarian in the past fifteen years had to compete. The authors of the script have picked from the rainbow of happenings those that will arrange the landscape of the funny adventures. Working illegally abroad, or the possibilities to get immediately rich that will turn to be the lost of the only home, the efforts to gain the apartment back, the suspicious clubs for easy money. The break down of families but in the same time full of good hearted humor with optimism the sad moments step aside to the good hearted laughter.
