Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer
Tweekums5 January 2023
This anime series opens with college student Yuuhi Amamiya discovering a lizard on his bed. If that weren't surprise enough the lizard speaks to him! It tells him that he is one of a select group that have been chosen to be 'Beast Knights'. They are to unite with a magical princess to defeat a mage who intends to destroy the Earth with a colossal mallet, the eponymous biscuit hammer, which only they can see. When he meets the princess she tells him that her reason for wanting to defeat the mage is that she wishes to destroy the world herself!

This may not be one of the great anime series but I still thought it was fairly fun. There is a decent amount of action, some amusing moments and fun characters. At twenty four episodes it is perhaps a little longer than it needs to be but I never got bored with it. The final episode delivered a proper ending so viewers won't be left wondering if another series will be made to wrap things up. Overall a fun series if you enjoy magical battles, some laughs and nothing really unpleasant.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Worth watching but some things don't make sense

Warning: Spoilers
This anime is worth watching. You can watch in Sub or Dub. It's about these knights who are picked by spirit animals and are granted a wish. They have to defeat a god type being that has this hammer that will apparently crush the world. However one of the main characters is wanting to also destroy the world. So right off the bat it is corrupt.

My biggest beef with this show is the characters and the limits on wishes.

First some of the characters wish for the dumbest things like the snake girl wants her family to always die with a smile on their face. Ok so they die with a smile what does that mean? One second before they die the make a smile or do they remember something happy or does it mean they have a day of happiness? It makes no sense. While nice just makes zero sense and a waste of a wish.

However the cat guy wanted all knowledge in the universe. Finally a wish I could get behind. But he wasn't granted this wish. Instead he asked for knowledge on the evil guy which somehow made it so he can also cast golems. Again he can't get knowledge which are simple facts that already have happened. But he can cast magical golems. Makes no sense.

Why the limits on wishes? One guy wishes to have all his fighting skills transfered to another character. So again a magical thing happened. What are the limits is what I would ask. Because they seem random. If I had a wish and I have thought about this and actually wrote it down just in case I meet a God or something that grants me a wish.

First my ultimate wish would be to have all the powers and abilities of Dr Manhattan. Why him? Well first if it is a god then they should be able to do it. Second Dr Manhattan is immortal, Omni everything, can create and take away life, can travel throughout time and space, he is essentially a god.

If that didn't work. Then my second wish would be to be Cyborg. He is able to get all the knowledge he wants via computers and his quantum brain. Thus he technically will and is an immortal as well. He can either create technology to make him immortal or back his brain up into a machine he can create. This wish would use technology that integrated into my body. Which should be possible.

If either of those wishes couldn't happen. That's when I would definitely ask what the limits are. Because a wish means anything. If they have limits then they aren't wishes then. At the very least I would ask for my body to always be 22 years old never aging and never being able to die. Nothing can hurt me or make me sick or age me. Not walking in the sun or a black hole or space or time.

If none of those could be granted then clearly this creature is not able to grant wishes. I would wish for something or someone who can grant my wish to come to me. So I can get my first wish. And of course if nothing worked. I would just ask for my bank account to always have $1 more than the riches person on the planet. Or to be the ruler of the planet. If none of those could be granted I would just tell the creature to go away you are useless and not able to grant anything. Hopefully this will force the creature to prove they can and grant a free wish.

Well the show is fun to watch. Just doesn't make sense why a wish has limitations. It's not a wish at that point. Honestly they should say we can grant you these things and hand them a book or something with all the things they can do or can't do which ever is shorter.

Warning: Spoilers
Juuuust nice. Just finished watching it freshly ^^ so my emppression is just amaaaazing

This anime talked about aalot of aspect of lifeves so basically what it was talking about specially the first half was sooo deep and amazing from ideas of living and how everyone faced his life time problem ... from this point of view it deserves 10 stars

As a negative thing there is no action .. for example a punch is just a punch .. hhhhh

My favourite charcter is that neko guy he is really strange and his behaviour

And one of the best characters is that megazuki he is true to himself and his soul

And wait if you thing about it animus is not evil .. he just want something to stop him .. he is just tooooooo powerful thats why he kept destroying the earth on and on

So overall i realllllly enjoyed this anime specially since it was manga from 10 years ago and they just decided to release it

So im proud i could watch this masterpiece

Chao chao.
