Under Pressure (#14.17)

Warning: Spoilers
This hospital really had a lot of criminal activity happen in it over the years. I would already be afraid to go there. In this episode we have once again a guy grab his gun to force doctors to save his girlfriend even after they are sure that there isn't anything that they can do. The guy is actually very nice. It is really impossible for one to dislike him even if he holds Morris and Neela at a gunpoint. The bad thing about it is that one never really worries for them. Which means there is no real pressure or suspense for the viewer. But at the same time this is also what makes one feel so much for the poor guy when he gets shot at the end of the episode. Josh Stewart did a great acting job in this episode. Loved his work.

Warning: Spoilers
One of the better episodes of the season. Morris and the guy who holds them hostage really shine.

Once again, John Stamos' Gates is put into a story with a child actor. Lame jokes and good shots of his hair are plentiful as is the norm for him since that's all he has to offer. There's not an acting bone in his body. I laughed out loud when he tried to play the tough guy and it backfired. Laughed even louder when he came walking out with the kid in his arms.

Anspaugh's Aussie nephew is a poorly written, stereotypical character. Dawn, the obnoxious black nurse is a waste of air time, why they're trying to develop a character that has nothing to develop has become the norm for this show.

Again ?

Warning: Spoilers
More guns in the ER and another hostage situation... you'd think after all the previous incidents, guns to heads, prison break hostage takers, cold blooded murder of a patient they'd step security up?

No Insurrection this time? Somewhere the ER corpse of Dr Carter turns in it's grave.

Not quite as bad as the rest of season 14.
