My journey through the SoCal Cinema library continues with this attempt at an erotic thriller. At only 50 minutes long, it still feels like it goes on for an eternity. The pacing is non-existent and the two leads (who DO try to give the best performances they can) are simply miscast. There's not a ton to say here because not a lot really happens. Giving it two stars for the sake of the actresses, who could be put to use in better material that benefits them instead of this.

Good story, awful execution, too dark, ok acting, weird filming, nice soundtrack. Story could be interesting with a different directing approach. Too bad

Dustin Ferguson's was half done when he assembled this small but superior Cast , to exhibit their wares in this Psycho/Sexual/Murderess Romp , Not to Say that his Direction wasn't Dead-On-Magnificent ! Jennifer Nangle is Completely Enthralling as the Lovely-Lady-Next-Door with that Perfectly Voluptuous Body passed onto by The Creator , 'Sarah' , who's just coming off of a Fractured Relationship & Looking for a New Roommate . The Roommate Interviews are Fabulous & lend a little Levity to this Serious Sex/Drama . There's Shawn C. Phillips as "Duder' , the Slightly Off-Kilter Cat Lover , who seems to Put his Prized Pussy above Everything Else . Nicholas Vasseur as the Self-Proclaimed Chick Magnet , 'Sam' , & Hilariously Funny Sheri Davis as 'Sadie' , the Air-Headed Valley Girl ! Then there's the new roommate 'Charlotte' , who appears at first to be Passive , Pleasant , & Docile ; but She Quickly Reveals Herself to be Clingy , Manipulative , & Aggressive ; & Gorgeous Julie Anne Prescott is Perfect Portraying Her with Her Various Mood Swings ! Finally there's Comely Natalie Dang as Sarah's Ex-Roommate & Lover 'Belinda' , an Impressive but Short-Lived Role ! "THE LAST ROOMMATE" is only about 50 minutes long ; but it flies-by even faster as a Result of the Brilliant Story , Great Direction , & the Unadulterated Sensuality Encased in this Jennifer Nangle/Julie Anne Philpott Entanglement ! No Nudity & No Overt Sex But I suggest that You watch "THE LAST ROOMMATE" within Close Approximation of a Close Shower !
