Libby can be a right misery guts sometimes, as evidenced by her whining to Toadie and Dan here, although she still comes off better than Susan who spends the entire episode giving people haughty stares. After her sudden arrival on the scene last episode, Sam gets a full debut and actually seems like a decent character, even if her sudden turnaround when the friend she has presumably just spoken to said she was no better is a bit forced. But there's a nice bit of early closure when just as we're wondering why she knows so much about ultrasound scans we suddenly find out.
Paul continues his one-man quest to be hated again by going straight to Kirsten as soon as Rebecca blows him out.It might have been more interesting though if Kirsten had actually stuck to her guns. And Steph's back, campaigning for the rights of the little people once again. There's a nice underplayed awkwardness about her scenes with Toadie although prolonged feuds tend to upset the show's equilibrium so it'll probably be back to hugs before too long.
