- Jay Ray (Hrithik Roshan) is a dance teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a sideline, he marries immigrant women to get them green cards in exchange for money. Jay says that everyone in Vegas is looking for that one life changing roll of dice that will get them fame and money. Jay earns a $100 per week from his dance classes. In the past Jay has sold popcorn, performed well of death stunts, sold pirated DVDs, anything to make a few extra dollars. Jay charges $1000 for a fake wedding for green cards and honeymoon is extra.
Gina is a student of Jay at the dance class. Gina (Kangana Ranaut), the rich daughter of a powerful Mexican Americans casino owner Bob Grover (Kabir Bedi), falls for him. Gina is a stalker type and psycho person, and Jay is scared of her. Gina took a copy of Jay's apartment key and used that to enter his apartment without his permission. Gina says that she knows Jay loves her from the way he touches her in dance class, which Jay claims is just dancing.
Jay rethinks his strategy when he realizes that Gina comes from a rich family when he sees Gina driving away in a stretch limousine. Jay woos Gina and partners with her for an upcoming dance competition. Bob also sees him there. Jamal (Yuri Suri) is Bob's family driver and a loyalist. Jay wins the competition with Gina and is invited to a party by Bob at their farmhouse. Jay decides to marry into money and live a comfortable life. Jay had no issues in lying and cheating to achieve his life goals.
Jay discovers that his future brother-in-law, the vicious, homicidal Tony (Nicholas Brown), is about to marry a Mexican woman named Natasha (Bárbara Mori), whom Jay knows as Linda, the last of the immigrant women he married. As compared to Gina, Linda is a breath of fresh air. She is sexy, classy, delicate, and vulnerable. Jay falls in love with her as soon as he sees her. Jay can see that Linda is not very fond of the overtly publicly sexy behavior that Tony takes with her. Tony grabs at her thighs, and describes her using uncouth words, making her uncomfortable. With Gina, Jay has money, new toys and power over everybody in Las Vegas. But Jay was confused about what he really wanted.
On the night before "Natasha" and Tony's wedding, Linda and Jay spend a romantic but chaste night. Dancing in the rain, driving around Las Vegas, exchanging life history and so on, humorously agreeing to a "divorce". Linda admits that she only loves Tony's money, and Jay admits the same about Gina. Linda tells Jay how Tony gives her expensive gifts.
Later that night, they share a passionate kiss at Linda's apartment. A jealous, gun-wielding Tony arrives at Linda's apartment while Jay was there. Tony knew about them as Jamaal had seen Linda and Jay at the dinner exchanging glances and texts. After Tony hits her, Linda impulsively knocks him out with a heavy object while he tussles with Jay.
Linda and Jay go on the run toward Mexico, with Tony and the police in pursuit. Jay and Linda manage to evade the police by jumping into a balloon. Tony gets the police to freeze Linda's bank accounts and when she tries to withdraw her money, she is accosted. Jay intervenes and rescues her and they "rob" the bank for 200 dollars and escape in a van that belongs to an Indian. Jay and Linda have a cute argument about how robbing a $1 million or $200 carries the same punishment of 5 years imprisonment. They share a night at a motel.
Jay and Linda are caught by the police, but the bounty hunters reach there at the same time, who think Jay and Linda have $2 million in their possession, which Bob said on TV that had been stolen from his casino. Jay and Linda escape when this results in a shootout.
They are helped by a friend of Jay, Robin (Anand Tiwari). Jay wants Robin to take Linda away from him and keep her safe, but Linda slaps Jay and says she loves him, and he is her whole world now. Robin gives them fake passports and IDs so that they can go wherever they want.
In the following week, Jay and Linda get married in Mexico. On the day of their wedding, they come back to their house. There, Robin comes to give them the passports and is unexpectedly shot by Tony and his men. Linda and Jay escape, but Jay is shot in the process. In a car chase, Linda stops the car at a train, puts Jay aboard it, and drives off.
Back to the present, Jay wakes up in Mexico and is hauled off the cargo train by friendly Mexicans. A doctor takes the bullets out of Jay and nurses him back to health. Jay crosses the border back into the US and follows the train tracks. He reaches the station where Linda put him on the train. He remembers and finds his mobile, which he asks the station master to charge and passes out of exhaustion. The station master calls Tony (Tony's number was on Jay's phone) and he arrives with his entourage to kill Jay. Jay barely manages to get away in time by boarding another cargo train.
Jay contacts Jamaal to find the location of Linda and is ambushed. Jamaal is killed but not before telling Jay of Linda's whereabouts. Jay kills off all of Tony's men and then kills Tony by smashing his face into the car door. He is shot then by Gina. He drives off to the location where Jamaal said Linda was last seen.
It is shown that after Jay was put aboard the train, Linda was ambushed on a cliff and sent Jay a text message saying, "I am going, sorry, Forget me". She drives off the cliff, killing herself by drowning.
Jay cries and then smiles, jumping off the cliff as well. Finally, he is reunited with Linda under the ocean, and they embrace through death.
