- Clark encourages Lois to reach out for help after noticing her reaching a breaking point. Meanwhile, Jonathan finds himself in a dangerous situation. Lastly, Kyle encourages Sarah to audition for the musical revue at school.

Meanwhile, Lois meets with a therapist after losing her temper with someone dear to her, and discovers that the grief of long-ago loss isn't as buried as she thought. Kyle promises to help Sarah with an audition for a musical revue, but Jordan steps in to help her when her father doesn't show up.—Gislef
- Lois waits in therapist Dr. Wiles' office, until Wiles shows up and asks Lois why she's there. Wiles asks what brings Lois is there, and Lois says that earlier she got blindsided and it felt like everything was slipping through her fingers. Lois admits that she lost her temper, and is at risk of hurting someone worse than she already has.
Earlier that day, the Kent's gather outside and Lois tells the boys that she and Clark just wanted to check on them to see how they were doing with everything that happened recently. Clark says that he talked to Coach Gaines about how the three of them are taking a break from football, while he bends the front of the truck back into shape. Lois says that if they're stressed or worried, they need to tell them, and the teenagers agree.
Clark hears Sam signal that they're ready to interrogate Irons at the DoD, and before he leaves Lois tells him that she'll let him know what she finds in the RV. After Clark flies off, Jonathan asks Lois if he can come with her. He figures that he can help her. They go to the RV in the barn and go inside, and Irons' AI tells them to identify themselves. Lois does so, and the AI identifies and greets her, and tells Lois that Lois is one of her authorized users.
When Lois asks the AI what it can tell her about Irons, a bed swings up to reveal a control panel. It has monitors showing Irons.
At the Cushing house, Sarah is preparing to go to school while Lana makes up a list of small businesses in need. Lana explains that Morgan has put her on a new program, and Kyle says that he's there if she wants to expand his program. His wife tells him that the program is already full. Sarah says that she was asked to audition for the school's music revue, and her parents remind her that she loved to sing. The teenager says that she doesn't have time to prepare before the audition that night, and Kyle offers to help her practice since has the day off.
At the school, Sarah is looking at the audition board. Jordan comes up and when she says about the revue, he suggests that she tryout. He explains that he used to play piano before his anxiety got too much, and agrees to cheer her on if she tries out. They share a look and then Jordan goes to the locker room to return his uniform. Sarah sighs and contemplate the sign-up board.
John is sitting in his cell remembering his world's Lois. Soldiers take him to an interrogation room where Superman is waiting. Superman knows that John is a former ranger who then became a mechanical engineer, but the John on the current Earth died six years ago. He asks how John got there.

John pilots his ship into the dimensional breach, while Dark Superman tries to beat his way through the hull.

John tells Superman that he'll end him, and that he's already seen how Superman turns dark. He then says that he's not saying another word until they bring him Lois. Sam is in the next room watching through a one-way mirror.
As she goes through the monitor, Lois tells Jonathan about the multiverse and how John comes from another Earth. She finds photos of John and Lois together as husband and wife.
Superman asks John why he wants to see Lois, and John refuses to answer the question until he talks to Lois. John says that Superman is the one who killed Lois, and he won't let Superman do it again.

Lois tells Wiles that she doesn't look back with regret. Wiles suggests that she's being too hard on herself, and Lois says that she was enraged. Lois tells Wiles that the person she snapped at didn't deserve it, and is worried that sometimes words cut so deep that they forever change how someone sees a person. She worries that she might not be able to fix it.

Superman calls Lois and tells her what he's learned about John. He points out that Dark Superman killed thousands, and isn't convinced that John can overcome his feelings toward Dark Superman as far as Superman is concerned. Lois offers to talk to John, but Superman says that he understands John now and figures he can get through to him. The couple exchange their love and Lois hangs up. Jonathan comes in and Lois tells him that they'll take a break from the RV for a while.
Sarah is at home going over her music, and Kyle joins her with his guitar. She says that she's nervous performing by herself, and Kyle tells her that her desire to sing is stronger than her fear, then she has to get up and sing. Kyle says that regret lasts a lot longer, and Sarah says that she does want to sing. Kyle starts playing and Sarah sighs in exasperation.
Sam tells Superman that Lt. Trask will torture the information out of John, but Sam will go in first since he and John were allies on the other Earth.
Jonathan goes to the RV and looks at the photos of Natalie, and then the video of Dark Superman killing Lois. He walks around the RV and finds John's guns. An alarm goes off and the AI closes the shutters and tells Jonathan that he's not authorized. The Ai prepares to kill Jonathan with weaponry that emerges from the walls.
Lois hears the alarms and runs out, yells through the door, and then calls Superman when the AI doesn't respond to her. Superman flies from the DOG to the barn, shields Jonathan, destroys the weapons, and takes Jonathan outside. Lois hugs her son, then takes him in the house and reads him the riot act. She's wonders what Jonathan was really doing in the van, and Jonathan says that he was looking for weapons.
When Clark objects, Jonathan points out that Clark and Jordan are weapons. Clark says that they'll protect him, and Jonathan says that Superman barely got there in time. Lois is furious and says that Jonathan was reckless to stupid, and yells at him to get out of her face. Jonathan walks off, and Clark asks Lois if she's okay. He doesn't believe her denial, and suggests that she might have been a little harsh. Lois insists that she's fine, and Clark tells her that it's okay for her to ask for help and he always wants to be there. Clark suggests that if she can't talk to him, she talk to Wiles.
Kyle goes to Morgan' business, and Leslie spots him, approaches him, and asks if he's looking for Lana. Leslie tells Kyle that Morgan is hoping that Kyle will reconsider. Kyle goes in and talks privately to Lana, and asks if she lied to her. Lana says that there's no position for him, and tells her husband that Morgan doesn't think Kyle's leadership material. Shocked, Kyle tells Lan to go back to work and leaves.
Superman returns to the DOD where Sam is confronting John. Sam tells John that Trask is ready to chemically interrogate, and John tells him that his Earth never drugged prisoners. He says that the other Sam died trying to save the world, and Dark Superman killed him. Sam insists that Dark Superman would never turn against him, but John says that Superman will always side with other Kryptonians.
----- Wiles asks Lois who she lashed out at, and Lois reluctantly says that Jonathan did something stupid and almost got himself killed. Lois refuses to go into details, but admits that she was scared and felt powerless like she hasn't in a long time. Wiles mentions Lois' miscarriages, and Lois thanks Wiles for helping her through the trauma afterward. Lois says that they were going to name her unborn girl "Natalie".

At the DoD, Rosetti takes John back to his cell. Trask intercepts them in the hallway and tells Rosetti to leave John with him. Rosetti uses his Kryptonian powers to kill Trask, glares at John with his heat vision, and says that his problems are just starting.

Lois says that she copes better when she has more on her, and Wiles wonders if Lois needed more time to process her grief. Crying, Lois finally says that she can't lose another child because of her. Lois says that the guilt she feels is real, and Wiles tells her that most miscarriages are caused by genetic issues, rather than overwork. Wiles says that Lois isn't responsible for the miscarriage, and she has to allow herself to go through the grieving process no matter how long it takes.
The students are auditioning at the revue, and Jordan sits in the back holding flowers. Jonathan comes in and tells Jordan that he has to talk to him, and Jordan assures him that they're in it together. Sarah comes up and says that she can't do her audition without Kyle, and he's not there. Jordan says that he'll accompany her, and Sarah agrees to let him.
Sarah and Jordan go up to the stage, and Jordan starts performing 'Little Light'. Sarah sings along and smiles over at Jordan., who smiles back at her.
Rosetti takes John to an sealed room, and Rosetti insists that he can beat Superman. John sets off an alarm, saying that he'll get to watch Superman and Rosetti kill each other, and Rosetti says that everything he needs to beat Superman is in the room and drags John in.
Superman and Sam are notified of the alarm and Trask's death, and Sam tells Superman that he can't go there. He says that there's a research & development lab in the sector where Rosetti is, and there are Kryptonite-based weapons there. Superman goes there anyway and the walls are lead-lined. Sam directs him to the lab, where Rosetti is putting on a protective mask.
Rosetti tells Superman that he's the one who needs help, and sprays him with Kryptonite gas.
Lois goes to the DoD and discovers that it's is on lockdown, and tries to call her father.
Rosetti drags John out. When Superman fights back, Rosetti sprays him with more gas.
Lois finds Sam and asks what's going on.
Rosetti tells Superman that he's on the wrong side. Superman pulls off Rosetti's protective mask, and the two fight hand-to-hand. Rosetti recovers first but says that he has a mission to complete. John finds a Kryptonite spear and kills Rosetti with it. He tells the weakened Superman that the spear was his favorite weapon. When Superman tells John that he's not John's enemy, John figures he shouldn't take the chance.
Lois, Sam, and the other soldiers arrive. She tells John that she can relate to the anger in his eyes, and tells him that it's not his fault that his family died. Lois says that it's not Superman's fault, either, and Superman is good and would never turn on them. When John wonders how she knows, Lois just says that she knows and what does it make John if he kills a hero. John steps back and drops the spear, and the soldiers take him away.
Later, Superman is recovering in the base's medbay. Sam explains that the gas was an experimental Kryptonite gas, and he never intended for it to be deployed. Superman doesn't believe him, and says that he has to prepare for the worst. Sam admits that he has to do a lot to regain Superman's trust, and Superman suggests that Rosetti might have been else. He says that Lois has a theory that Morgan has found a way to transfer Kryptonian sentiences into human hosts. Sam wonders if John is right, and Superman tells him that Morgan might be building an army.
Sarah confronts Kyle at home, and he says that he wasn't at her audition because he learned that he missed a job opportunity and blew off her audition. When he starts to promise it won't happen again, Sarah tells him not to because she can't keep getting her hopes up and being disappointed.
At the Kent farm, Jordan is practicing the piano. Jonathan looks out the window at the RV and John now there. Jordan says that Lois trusts John now, and Jonathan wonders if they can trust their mother. Lois overhears them and asks Jordan to leave them alone. Once Jordan leaves, Lois tells Jonathan about the child she lost, breaks into tears, and hopes Jonathan will forgive her. He breaks into tears and hugs his mother back, and Lois says that she know the fear of being vulnerable and will teach Jonathan some ways to handle it. However, Lois wants Jonathan to know that they're the extraordinary humans among super beings, and they have to stick together.
Lois goes out to confront John. Before she can say anything, Superman flies down and says that it's a show of trust. John tells him that he's not ready to fight at Superman's side, and Superman says that he understands and if John changes his mind, he know where to find Superman.
Lois tells John that she hopes he finds some solace. He says that he has a lot to say to his Lois, but Lois isn't his Lois. Lois walks away and John tells the AI to recognize him as John Irons, not Captain Luthor. He then tells the AI to shut down and he'll just drive for a while.
