Could be a LOT better..

Warning: Spoilers
Unlike the previous reviewer, I don't base my opinions on six-packs in movies, I don't think that is any kind of measurement for a great film, but this particular movie just "doesn't movie enough". It almost take you to the end, but not even close. I think even with all of it's simplicity the story is interesting and it could've been a horrific tale of a child-torturer and her mutants but the movie.. it just gives up on plot development after the action starts. It feels like there are whole parts missing and the movie just takes a giant leap to the end 'cos it wants to end. Is the budget to blame or what? Some sweet exposition would had been nice. The acting is close to decent, but ONLY close and the gothic red-head is really annoying with her constant "duck-facing".

I did enjoy some parts, like the gore and the mutants were really good at times, especially that empathetic mutant was a nice add. I have seen a lot worse with a much bigger budget, so I don't think this is the worst movie I have ever seen, by far. Try watching Showgirls 2! I got a strong Dead End-vibe from this, don't know if it was intentional or not.

Just TERRIBLE!
Spaceygirl27 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Am I the only person who has seen this turgid mess? Or just the first person brave enough to review it? Oh well, I saw it so you don't have to. Really, you should be thanking me right now. It's the biggest load of tosh I've ever seen. Acting? Forget about it. The rather beautiful Samantha Noble, daughter of John (He of Fringe fame) tries very hard but fails miserably with what little material she's given to work with. The rest of the cast are just awful, for some obscure reason affecting American accents and failing badly. The plot, such as it is, has five (Four? Six? Who cares?) students making a movie on a deserted property. Why has it been deserted? Who deserted it? Do we know? Do we care? It seems the script-writers forgot about a reason for mindless violence...and boy is it violent!! Look, I'm not against gratuitous violence..so long as the rest of the movie makes some kind of sense, or there's some-one with a six-pack to look at but this movie has neither. It's a bad (read: TERRIBLE) rip-off of every schlock-horror you've ever seen. Don't bother. I'm beginning to think the term Ozploitation is code for Crap.
