I love, love this series so far. I liked, not loved this episode. This is the first episode that dragged on for me. The end of the Burroughs Family drama and bloodline felt bleak. We've watched the Pastor fall, lose his faith, rise up, show courage and regain hope and his faith partially through a beautiful, touching moment with Honor Boone, who questioned the fate of her little Sister and Mother's soul in the afterlife in the previous episode. Will she see them in Heaven one day? It pained her to think no, and he comforted her. I enjoyed his journey. He was a flawed, but decent man and I didn't like his abrupt end at the hands (or poisonous soup spoon) of his bitter, wretched estranged Wife. She pretended to forgive him as The Bible says just to lure him in for the kill. Why does Hollywood always have to show Christians as ugly hypocrites? It would be refreshing to show devout, faithful, good, forgiving Christians or redemption once in awhile. Why is the Constable all distraught over his vampire Wife's fate? He mercy "killed" her in her human form to save her from a life of being an undead, bloodthirsty creature of the night. It didn't work. She became vampire, but he was content with that decision when she was his human-Wife, so why is he all devastated now over his vampire-Wife? As for the Boones, where is Stephen? Loa looks like she's second-guessing the Vampire God's plan for Hell on Earth and humans as livestock, so I assume she'll be the heroine who stops him. Adrien Brody and the actress playing his family's Governess turn in great performances as usual. It may not sound like it, but I am excited for the Season finale.
