  • In another instance, there are a few females in bikinis/skimpy clothing when the scene cuts to a boxing match, there is also a little bit of cleavage showing in this scene as well.
  • You can see a man's butt.

Violence & Gore

  • Despite the nature of the movie and the violence and destruction that it depicts, there is very little blood and gore.
  • Level of violence:6/10.
  • A lot of characters are shown hurt throughout the film.
  • A man in Yellowstone is killed by a volcanic eruption.
  • Saint Peter's Basilica is destroyed and the dome rolls on the ground, killing everyone in its path.
  • A large earthquake destroys California and later Las Vegas.
  • CNN News TV reports: 1) The statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro wrecked by the earthquake and its city is also devastated; 2) London Olympics is suspended amid chaos and riot; 3) a mass suicide in Tikal, Guatemala. A few dead bodies are shown.
  • A cruise ship is hit by giant tidal wave, the ship flips.
  • A man is seen inside a building, the next shot shows the building being destroyed by a tidal wave
  • A plane falls off the cliff, killing one man.
  • A car with two passengers crashes during an earthquake.
  • A dead pilot is shown at the airport, with blood around his body.

Profanity

  • A woman flips the middle finger to a man.
  • At least 1 "f" word (with another one mouthed), 6 "s" words, 1 slang term for breasts ("boobs"), 11 hells, 2 asses, 2 damns, 6 uses of "G-damn," 3 each of "My God," "Oh God" and "Oh my God," 2 uses of "God" and 1 use each of "For Christ's sakes," "For God's sake," "Holy Mother of God," "Jesus," "Jesus Christ" and "Oh for Christ's sakes."

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The entire film is very intense, with prolonged sequences of indiscriminate wanton mass destruction and extreme frenetic mayhem related to natural disasters. Cities collapse, buildings fall apart, many people die, etc. The tone is extremely grim and obscure, and the film has a dark and unpleasant atmosphere.
  • Level of scariness:9.5/10.
  • Volcanoes erupt, tsunamis happen, cities are destroyed, etc.
  • One scene shows San Francisco being completely destroyed.
  • Another scene shows the main characters trying to out-run a volcanic eruption. Many characters and extras die.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is crushed by moving gears inside a ship. The only thing we see is his hand reaching out before being pulled behind one of the gears and we hear his screams and body crunching. Despite the lack of gore, this scene is extremely graphic and gruesome.
  • The President of the United States is killed by tidal wave in Washington DC, which destroys the White House.
  • A man is shown fallen into rubble into the ground.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A scene shows some characters getting killed by a very tall tsunami in East India. That Scene is very sad and terrifying.
  • A main character gets stuck in the gears of the ship and the gears crush him, the last thing we see is his hand before it goes into the gears and sound of his body being destroyed is heard briefly, no gore, but still every violent.
  • The state of Hawaii is seen to be completely destroyed by volcanic activity.
  • A woman is trapped in a room which is getting flooded. She drowns.
