Psych

Edit
Near the end, Commander Dunlap tells Shawn and Gus that their "painfully cute mugging" is getting on her nerves, and Gus retorts, "What are you, 'Entertainment Weekly'?" This is a not-so-subtle dig at "Entertainment Weekly" magazine, which covers the arts and popular culture. The magazine has given "Psych" several poor reviews, one of which denigrated the acting of star James Roday Rodriguez as "painfully cute mugging" for the camera.
Spot the pineapple: around 21:20, there's hawaiian pizza at Hick's house.
Seen only briefly at the 29:05 mark, Captain Dale, with whom Sean's father suggests the guys can get a ride out to the oil rig, was played by Lemmy Kilmister, founder, bassist, and vocalist of the heavy metal band Motörhead.
This episode's title is nod to the film about oil drilling There Will Be Blood (2007). This episode is set on oil drilling platform.
Gus's Nickname: Chesterfield McMillan & Wife.
