Calm bones.

After the interesting take on Found Footage with Wedding 93 (2021-also reviewed), I began to hope that things might be improving with the quality of movies in the Cine-Excess line-up, which led to me looking at them bones.

View on the film:

Built on the intriguing bones of the lead character misremembering what caused the disappearance of her dad, writer/director/ editor Jack James reflects on this mind-set, by spraying the screen with aimless dissolves and a jumbled mess of panning shots and bubbling Gothic haze, blocking any chance for a clear vision of events taking place.

Not helping matters one bit, the cast deliver large sections of their dialogue in whispers, which with no option of subtitles, make what they are saying unintelligible, as the wild bones are boiled.
