• Melanie : [Baby Bop is practicing her movie dance outdoors, when Barney and Melanie approach her there]  How's it going, Baby Bop?

  Baby Bop : Oh, I can't think of a story that has dancing in it!

  Barney : Well, lots of stories have dancing, Baby Bop.

  Baby Bop : Really?

  Barney : Sure. For example, on the island of Hawaii, people put on grass skirts and dance the hula. The hula dance tells a story.

  Baby Bop : What's a grass skirt, Barney?

  Barney : Well, it looks like this!

  [he conjures up some magic, and then a grass skirt and lei appear on Baby Bop, as Barney wears a lei too] 

  Baby Bop : Oh, look at this! This is a grass skirt!

  Barney : Oh yes it is, just like the hula dancers wear in Hawaii.

  Melanie : [clearly attracted]  You look great, Baby Bop!

  Baby Bop : Oh, thank you! It feels kind of itchy, though.

  Barney : Well, that's because it's made out of grass. Would you like to learn how to do a hula dance?

  Baby Bop : Oh, yes, please!

  Barney : All right. Now put out your hands like this.

  Baby Bop : Like this?

  [she repeats the move] 

  Barney : That's right. Now wave your hands like this, while you wiggle your body.

  Baby Bop : [repeating after him]  Oh look at me, Barney! I'm doing the hula!

  Barney : Yes you are!

  Melanie : [impressed with the dinosaurs' accomplishment]  That's great! Here, let me film while you dance.

  [she does just that]
