Warning: Spoilers
The expression "quid pro quo" of the episode's title means returning in kind a past favor. In the case of this program, both Cal and Em meet special contacts in which relationship is based on quid pro quo.

When she arrives in Berlin, Em is linked up to Rowena, who hijacks Dawkins' SUV to bring Em to safety. Em knew Rowena from their days at Quantico, and it is Em who is indebted to Rowena. By contrast, Cal reconnects with an old buddy from the war in Moldova, and it is the friend who is indebted to Cal. One of their acquaintances was Holt, who was a good man. They still have nightmares about the bodies in Moldova. The friend helps Cal to locate Em at a swanky fundraiser at the palatial estate of Brigitte and Marcus Kerian.

The tiny computer chip is discovered by Em , and it has been destroyed, suggesting that Dawkins has learned that it is a fake. Emily encounters "Elliott" in the arboretum. She discovers a list with Jericho, but Elliott suggests only that it was a business shipping coffins. Em knows that Elliott, who claims to be a gardener, knows more than he is letting on.

Crown enlists the assistance of the nerd, SA Thompson, who will research those FBI members present at the time when the dead SA Isaac's name was appropriated and used to send the Quantico files on Em to Dawkins. Crown is reserving Gunnarsen for his personal investigation. Thompson realizes that even Crown is a suspect as the mole. The name of Adam Radford may provide a clue.

Nick is standing up to the interrogation of his Meridan tormentors. The scarfaced woman in charge of the brainwashing has used injections to induce delusions in Nick, who believes that he has reunited with Alice. But the stubborn Nick reveals no information about the encryption from Kai.

On the private jet to Berlin, Dawkins informed Em that they share something in common as "wargs," an Old German word meaning "strangler" or "evil spirit." The term pertains to werewolves, who were forced to live in the wilderness. Dawkins believes that he and Em are the lone wolves. He may be right.

Excellent Drama

Warning: Spoilers
This is an excellent intense drama with intricate twists and turns. Usually I can see where things are going, but I didn't see the Alice connection until almost the last episode before it was revealed. Twists are tightly guarded and you don't always get it right away. Throughout the series I have often gone back a few moments to catch something that I missed. I did however catch a little detail in this episode. Emily enters the fundraiser with a gorgeous black lace dress and a white fur jacket slung over her right shoulder but leaves with a black coat. Could be she just grabbed whatever was handy since they were evacuating because she pulled the fire alarm, however, earlier when she is climbing across the outside of the balcony she clearly has no shoes on, but once inside the room you can hear the sound of high heeled footsteps. Someone goofed there!

Disappointing

Average acting and average writing makes for an average series. The worse part is having a lead character who is at best irritating and who seems to be most adept at making odd facial expressions and staring off into space. For those like me who like realistic crime dramas it's a big letdown.
