Happy endings are not compulsory and some disappointment in life should be expected, but this episode is truly a dismal one and it also feel hurried.
The Elise plot already felt rushed, with Elise as a ruthless competitor agent joining the agency without any second thoughts from anyone (except Gaby) and within a couple of episodes destroying it, thanks to Andrea's misplaced "female solidarity" and her falling for Elise's evil scheme.
Actors leaving "en masse" felt very exaggerated when in previous episodes the talents were shown to have good personal relationships with their agents.
Also having Jean Gabin die was a cheap trick that added to the dismal atmosphere. The human touch that made the show endearing was still present here and there, mostly in the interesting storyline of Mathieu and Camille and also Mathieu reaching a sort of redemption.
Some funny moments sparkled here and there but one cannot shake the feeling that this season was criminally underdeveloped and hurried.
