Woah!

Intense and awesome. Franklin is all alone at this point but we all know his talent for making things happen regardless. Can't wait for the next season.

John Singleton would be proud, this was a satisfying conclusion to Snowfall's incredible 4th season

I have followed Snowfall since it first premiered and this will be my first review. But I want to start off with saying that this season have been absolutely brilliant, John Singleton would have been happy if he could have been able to witness and watch this season, its some of the best drama that Snowfall have to offer but it wouldn't have been possible if not for the previous seasons that ultimately have been building towards this season finale, but it isn't the end for the show.

Carl Seaton directed the season 4 finale and its a spectacular hour of crime drama. Dave Adron, one of the show's creators wrote the episode which is titled "Fight or Flight". The storytelling is truly impressive and overall amazing, the writing have been on a constant high and I'm glad the quality haven't dropped in this season. It's been strong episodes that tackle numerous of themes and topics plus the emotional impact and effects that those have. The cinematography and direction continues to be excellent.

Franklin have been the major focus of Snowfall and rightfully so, he's in a way the heart of the show, seeing him develop from a normal teenager to a ruthless criminal mastermind have been... Impressive and entertaining, mostly impressive in terms of storytelling. They went the long route and I'm glad they didn't cut any corners with character development for him or the other characters, the cast is massive sure but the variety of well written and likeable characters is why it works.

The performance of Damson Idris as Franklin Saint have been perfect but in this episode, he steals every single scene and honestly does some award worthy acting in this episode, whole season too. Other notable actors that deserve praise is Carter Hudson, Kevin Carroll and Michael Hyatt. Truly outstanding performances.

This season finale manages to tie up a lot of story and character arcs that have been going on since the first season. It was a satisfying experience and conclusion to those story arcs, but it isn't the end, Snowfall have lots more to offer. I don't want to spoil anything in this review other than it was an incredible episode and season, season 5 will hopefully be out in 2022 and I can't wait.

Solid Season Finale!

I was on the edge of my seat this entire episode. I was so uncomfortable and stressed. This episode did not disappoint. The last shot felt like a homage to Keyser Soze!

Can't wait for season 5

This show has been consistent since day 1 and I can't wait to see what happens in season 5. It's Franklin against the world at this point. His confidence to stay strong and make things happen is amazing.

Another thoughtless & poorly described season ender
MDawn26 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I love this show, but I do not love when the episode description at season's end is a mismatch for the action we see on screen. This is thoughtless to viewers and sloppy on the part of the showrunners. I'm still not over when this happened on Season 2, Episode 10. Part of the ep description still says: "Lucia must sacrifice to save Gustavo's life." None of us will ever know what that really means, because if you watch that ep, Lucia is not in the episode. Her last ep was S2Ep9. We didn't even hear about Lucia again until Season 4 when Gustavo tried to look for her with the CIA's help. I wrote to FX after the end of Season 2 and tried to get more information--what sacrifice did Lucia make??--but there's no way to be heard by this show. That part about Lucia in S2Ep10 was edited out, yet the description remained as if it weren't edited out. Nice. So today, a couple of years and seasons later, it happened again. Part of the S4, Ep 10 description says: "Gustavo chooses a new path." Hmm, I don't know which S4Ep10 you all saw but I certainly didn't see Gustavo choose a new path. He saw pictures of Lucia from the CIA but is that choosing a new path? That's looking at pictures. So as much as I love this show and have been loyal to the start, I cannot stand the bait and switch. I wanted to see what sacrifice Lucia made two seasons ago and this season I wanted see Gustavo choose a new path. So very frustrating.
