Extremely slow, long stretched out yawner... You can figure out the plot quickly.... One of the worst Lifetime movies.

Slow & Boring

Only the first 10 minutes and last 30 minutes are worth watching, the rest of the movie is a waste of time. You can understand the entire plot and watch the bearable part of this movie in the 40 minutes I described. I love Marci Miler , hate that she wasted her time on this mess.

Turgid Psycho-Drama
lavatch21 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
"Sinister Stalker" (a.k.a., "Sinister Savior") had a good premise in the connection of the predator Daniel and the former ER doctor Karen, a recovering alcoholic. The scenes revealing their earliest past connections were carefully integrated into the film as flashbacks. It was an interesting conceit that both characters had the apparent opportunities to be Good Samaritan to each other.

On the other hand, the film was far too static with an enormous stretch when Daniel holds Karen and her bestie Izzie hostage in her own home. Then, when they finally leave the home, Daniel packs them up in his truck and takes them to his home for more static scenes!

The drama seemed to take forever to unfold and the fight scene with the enormous Phil, who looked like a professional wrestler, was unconvincing in the staged "courtship ritual" where Daniel rescues Karen from an attacker. The cameo appearances of such characters as the neighbor Rhonnie and the drunken Jimmy were not enough to buttress the main narrative.

The most interesting character was Karen. But the filmmakers dropped the ball by not providing the essential exposition on what led her into the alcoholism that nearly ended her career. Even in the film's denouement, when Karen has been reinstated as a doctor, she still seems fragile and uncertain of herself, as well as unable to get the horrific memories of Daniel out of her mind. There were too many loose ends in the film and not enough substance to the shallowly conceived characters.

Waste of Time

Warning: Spoilers
A movie like this in 2020 seems unreal. I didn't even realize this came out in 2020 until I came on to review this. It seems like a movie that would've been made in the early 2000s with how bad it is. The special effects and cinematography are laughable - especially during the car crash scene in the beginning when all they did was rotate the camera around a few times when I could clearly see the car wasn't moving. The acting makes this film a must watch if you're looking for comedy. The movie is predictable from the start, slow, and the characters are absolutely idiotic. Just because the guy punched some "homeless man," the protagonist decided to let some stranger into her house rather than just direct him to a hospital or something. The black lady was unnecessarily killed, and given the movie has such a small cast I would assume it was because the directors remembered at the last minute that they had a character who was still alive. The drunk guy didn't have to get out of his car and check inside the window, he could've just went off his suspicion and called the cops from inside his car. How the best friend trapped in the closet didn't bang on the door/walls or make noise when she was tied up until things was escalating was a wonder. Even the stalker was an idiot and who made terrible decisions. For example, what was the point of heading to the friend's house? He wanted the girl to himself and could've just ran off and kidnapped her, but for some reason he wasn't to go to the best friend's house and stand around like a fool? Things just don't make sense throughout the film and the characters are incompetent - but I guess having a smart band of characters would've made things too inconvenient. It feels like the director was just fumbling around making the plot up as the movie went on. I've watched a lot of lifetime movies - this one was undoubtedly the worst. Only gave it a 2 star because thought it was interesting that the movie took place in mainly one location.

Omg, this was BAD

Seriously, I'm having a hard time finding the right words. This was so boring, I was constantly looking at how much time was left in between yawns. I am a Lifetime Thriller Movie Fan, and this was DEFINITELY not one. Most Lifetime movie characters are dumb, I'll admit, but these ones took it to a whole nutha level. In hindsight, I should have just turned it off, but I kept thinking it would get better. I was very very wrong. The longer it went on, the worse it got. Unless you need something to put you to sleep, I'd steer clear of this one.

Tired of dumb characters

Warning: Spoilers
Truly. I like tv movies and you can find gems on both Lifetime and Hallmark. But due to the "thriller/suspense" part of Lifetime's brand, you run into idiotic characters constantly. Dumb characters can really ruin a movie.

Karen gets chased and attacked (obligatory tripped over her own feet) by what appears to be a homeless man. Daniel, a mystery man, saved her life. Daniel is injured in the save and needs medical attention. He feeds her a line about having a criminal history so she can't call the police. Karen clearly never read The Gift of Fear, and only in a Lifetime movie would that sound legit. She invites this strange man into her home and that is where it all goes downhill. He spins a story and there are some discrepancies and it's so obvious he's not a good guy (they don't bother with red herrings). Oh, there's some weird acting here. Karen does not seem shook up at all. She even tells her neighbor that she was attacked with the lowest energy possible.

Rosa Blasi, contrary to the thumbnail on my tv guide is not the lead, and she's the only reason I watched. She's Karen's best friend Izzy and thankfully, she's not as trusting as her dumb friend. She's the best actor in this movie. Oh and again, when Karen tells Izzy she was attacked, she may as well have been saying she went for a walk. Izzy questions Daniel when Karen goes off somewhere and Izzy is onto him. Somehow he manages to attack and Izzy makes no noise. Eventually Karen gains a brain and realizes Daniel is dangerous. The neighbor and Oscar from TWD show up at her house but by now she's a hostage and she tries to plead for help with her eyes. Both of these people eventually die. IDK, for some reason, I'd rather they not had been intro'd than killed. Daniel was going on about the differences btwn murder and manslaughter (the accident he caused where Karen saved his life) and yet he's still actually and/or trying to kill people. Truly ridiculous. I find these movies to be more creative when they manage to not have a body count.

After a while I'm bored and am ready for it to end. I wouldn't say it dragged; in fact it seemed like it was over before I knew it (I was painting while watching). I don't know if I'd recommend it since I was lead to believe RB was the lead (Strong Medicine was a good show) and the true lead doesn't actually rise to the level of danger she and Izzy are supposedly in.

Really Creepy & Not In A Good Movie Way
YabbaDabbaDabba30 September 2021
This movie is so bad they renamed it to or from Sinister Stalker (who knows). Creepy, and dumb. In other words, just plain bad. The stalker is clearly a sicko, and the female doctor is trained to identify these type of weirdos. But she doesn't. Let's see, intelligent, semi attractive physician is too dumb to notice this creep is getting so close to her, especially when she is facing the other way.

We had to stop watching it since it was so bad. My head would have exploded if I had seen any more of it. I even deleted it from my deleted movies just in case it creeped back into the recordings. It pays to be extra careful with this kind of garbage.

Don't waste your time on this dog!

That's it. Take a shot anytime there's a sloooooow line delivery. (Translates to.. Every. Single. Line) Wooden, boring, inauthentic- fits all the acting and the script.

Sorry guys- I know making movies isn't easy. I get it.

But this was a DUD.

NOT your average Lifetime thriller!
Chartreuse14 February 2020
Starring Days of our Lives Marci Miller in a great performance along with Kelly Blatz as the stalker, this is one to be watched. The story is somewhat predictable but the acting and the fact that most of the action takes place in just a few places makes it very unique. Highly recommended if you like thrillers!
