The worst show ever in history of 2020 i have ever heard of, this show ruined Madagascar, All Hail King Julien and The Penguins Of Madagascar which are way better than this show and this show looks a lot like Thomas And Friends All Engines Go and The PowerPuff Girls (2016).

Not based on the original Madagascar movie
dw817724 September 2020
Far be it from me to drag down what might be a perfect show for little kids. However I was expecting at least the personalities of characters from the original movie to be in place:

Alex The Lion: friendly and constantly suppresses his predator instincts Gloria The Hippo: Opinionated and empowered Melman The Giraffe: Hypochondriac extreme, sick all the time Marty The Zeba: Carefee and often careless, clumsy, friends with Alex

Add to this a no show of popular characters that were in the movie:

King Julien The Lemur: Smug and vain ruler, loves to move it move it Mort: King Julien's lackey, completely ingratiating, quite brave actually

Top Secret Penguins: Kowalski,Skipper, Private, and Rico.

Now I understand the main characters in here are supposed to be younger, possibly pre-teen, but this particular show could've used ANY character or theme at all as the ones presented in here act pretty well all the same as any other kid's show. Vanilla and boring with no real distinctive traits of any kind and plenty of songs to teach little children the basics of life. Wow.

It's a waste to call this "Madgascar" as that particular movie had some interesting personalities and conflicts between the main characters that was both delightful and interesting to observe - something not at all even remotely appearing in this series.

Greatest Anime of All Time

Warning: Spoilers
Mere words cannot describe how flawless Madagascar: A Little Wild is. In just six episodes, the show manages to pack a deep, compelling story arc with character development for every single character on the show, even the background characters. It also has deepest lore. This show is better than Naruto, JoJo, Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, One Piece, and even western shows like Steven Universe, BoJack Horseman, The Simpsons, SpongeBob SquarePants, Rick and Morty, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Batman: The Animated Series. Yes, it's even better than Cory in the House. The lore is so deep that if you fall inside it, it'll send you to China. The show is jam-packed with metaphors and messages on racism, classism, dictatorship, homophobia, guilt, honor, brotherhood, change, and loss all at the same time. The animation is more beautiful than any old Pixar movie. The animation is so good, it makes Into the Spider-Verse look like Ratatoing. The soundtrack is composed by the finest of musicians, and Beethoven has been real quiet ever since the soundtrack dropped. I wonder why?

Just kidding! The actual show is mediocre. It's passable enough, but I can't get invested into it because it has no real reason to exist other than to cash in on the baby reboot trend.

Cute Show!
meaghandetoro7 September 2020
This show is really cute and the fab 4 are still getting into mischief. It's great for toddlers/little kids - songs, colors, humor - it's all around a great show. My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it!

absolutely amazing true cinematic art

I originally was trying to make my 5 y/o brother watch this with me but he said no so i watched it anyway by myself and i can honestly say this series has changed my life with only 6 episodes, the music spoke to me i felt the emotions i felt when melman needed that cheering up😔 everything was so beautifully written, it made me laugh, cry, mad and cry even more but it has changed my life forever. once the soundtrack drops on spotify i will be playing it whenever i get the aux. the acting and animation was beyond what i could've ever asked for and i only have good words for this series. thank you.

A Long Awaited Show With The Main Characters
ryanperez-19994 October 2020
I loved all the Madagascar movies and their holiday specials. But I never pictured the Penguins or King Julian get their own show. They were great in the movies when they're interacting with Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria but the idea of them having their own show was a little puzzling to me. The Penguins' show and movie was OK but I didn't feel the same comedy magic they had from the Madagascar movies. Definitely Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria deserve their own show because they are the heart of the franchise and the idea of them being toddlers is a good idea because I want to see how their friendship started before the movies and the show is very cute and funny. The child actor who plays Marty sounds just like Chris Rock but as a kid. They made some great casting choices. It's a fun show for Madagascar fans but the only thing I don't like is sometimes it'll have musical numbers. But it's still a great show.

Attention Grabber
rebirthofrenee10 September 2020
I have a very active 5 year old and very few cartoon animations catch her attention. However, this one truly does! We have to watch episodes over and over and over and.....

Thanks for great character voices, content, great catchy songs and animation.

Good

Great T. V. show for my boys. Goodnight and good morning songs are cute and catchy. My kids love the animals and they sing motivational songs that teach great lessons. OH and the monkeys use sign language when talking.

I think the creator needs to make a soundtrack of the songs because I find my kids wanting to hear them.

A Show Fill With Energy From Start To Finish
ashaheedahazman10 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
As a huge fan of the Madagascar Film Franchise, I was looking forward to watching this show, when it's first been announced. After watching the first episode ever created called The Bear Necessities. I began my adventurous journey into the world of Madagascar A Little Wild (MALW.) It was pretty fun to watch, quite a bunch of funny bits and highlights added. I enjoyed my time with the Fab Four. (which are the main 4 of Madagascar, when they are younger.)

Plot: Like all who land in New York, the young residents of the Central Park Zoo have big dreams and big plans in a celebration of being yourself and never giving up, Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman sneak out from the zoo and into the city to achieve their goals with abandon, no matter the size.

Just like Phineas and Ferb, there is a song in every episode. Everybody got singing voices that are talented. The most soulful one I heard comes from Shaylin B who brings a feisty streak for playing Gloria. (Bonus! Tucker Chandler who plays Micheal from Stillwater, Pandy from Gabby's Dollhouse and Pip from T. O. T. S plays the main character Young Alex in this series.)

Good Stuff About MALW: MALW is surely one of my favourite musical animated series. The most awesome thing about this are the amazing songs. Some people on YouTube rant on MALW and called the songs a piece of trash. Imma Keep Trying, Just Dust It Off, MALW Theme Song, Shine. HOW ARE THERE TRASH????? The graphics are the best, The choreography of the songs are magnificent and each episode is way more exciting then the last and the amazing use of Sign Language from Pickles and Dave.

Is it safe to watch?: Well it is safe to watch for kids, however there is this one episode called "Whatever Floats Your Float." which is about LGBT and a Nonbinary Okapi is added into this episode. (I hate this episode, because Pride Month is prohibited in my religion.) But, for me when this episode played. I always skipped this episode or change to another channel. As this is considered an illegal propaganda to watch in my personal point of view. There are some quick bander, some humors and sad moments added their too and easy situations to fix up.

To conclude I give this show a 10/10 star rating. My call is to stream it, no matter how many people hated it.
