A murder mystery at Christmas, comedy madness.

Christmas as home, Lee plans of a quiet Christmas in alone with Lucy, but plans go awry, it turns out there's a house full.

I'd forgotten that Timothy West played Geoffrey in the earlier episodes, he was so cutting here, such a great performer. Katy Wix is utterly hilarious throughout once again, how she gets those blank and vacant looks on her face is just brilliant, and hats off to Deborah Grant, loved her.

The very first Christmas special from Not Going out, they're always a treat, some great gags, especially the one about Thora Hird, too funny. The scenes between Wendy and Lee were side splitting, I loved the misunderstandings. Very good, but in terms of Christmas crackers the best are to come. 7/10

A fun early Christmas episode of the show, with some very nice moments along the way.

I'd forgotten also that Timothy West was the original Geoffrey - this show really has been on forever!

Good luck to it, when it's good it's very good.

Murder at Christmas

A festive episode. Tim and Lucy's parents come to stay for Christmas.

Timothy West played Geoffrey in the earlier shows and apparently there was a big age difference between him and Wendy.

Lee brings a murder mystery game for everyone to play. He even brings fancy dress.

Geoffrey wants everyone to take the role playing seriously. Only Wendy gets carried away being a vamp. Daisy is just too vacant. Tim is a mouthy thug that tells his dad a few home truths.

A funny episode with plenty of good one liners. Although it's strange that Lee talks about his stepfather and not his dad.

Katy Wix and Deborah Grant shine in this episode. There is a great sight gag when Barbara turns up in costume.
