The Jo Bro's bring out their wives and famous 80's movie scenes and just straight up have a good time and who can blame them. It's totally tubendicular.

Warning: Spoilers
The title here "Jonas Brothers: What A Man Gotta Do" includes the name of the band as well as the name of the song that belongs to this music video you are about to watch. It runs for slightly over 200 seconds and is this not a particularly long music video, but also not exactly super short. The director here is South Korean Joseph Kahn, one of the most successful music video directors these, days who has worked with so many big names and you can check out his body of work if you care in detail. They are all there ot at least most of them because music videos have been added to imdb for a long time now too, at least the most spectacular ones and this means pretty much every single one by Kahn. It is not often the case that the media/audiences are really thrilled for a music video director to make the transition to actual movies, but with him it has been the case, even if so far he did not really have gigantic success on the big screen and as he is getting close to 50, it needs to happen soon. If he wants it to, that is. He can always deliver in terms of music videos. Anyway, what I just watched here I did not find one bit inspiring. Many will disagree because this got watched almost 100 million times on Youtube since its release slightly over a year ago, or maybe have crossed the 100-million mark even, but I thought it was empty bubblegum pop and nothing else. The vocals were not chilling at all. The voices have no recognition value and the lyrics are as shallow as it gets.

This is why I still cannot really understand the media phenomenon Jonas Brothers and even if this song was not even close to being as much of a hit as some of their other stuff, it was still way more successful than it should have been given the (lack of) artistic impact. Maybe they tricked viewers and listeners into believing this is a personal song somehow because all three brothers include their significant others in this video, but I think this makes it even worse because honestly, if you take that route, then you must come up with something better, something less shallow than this one here. Only one option really for me this time and this is to give a massive thumbs-down. I mean it's nice the Jonas Brothers all three of them have been in in long relationships with their partners and there is no need to hide that to make little girls happy and they still manage to sell a great amount of records, but this does not make their art any better. At least not with this song. So skip it or if you care about Indian cinema or Game of Thrones, you can watch it for Turner or Chopra, but do yourself a favor and mute it. It was not good at all. The only positive thing I can say about the band here is that it is nice to see family acts like this stay together as performers over the years and not break apart in contrast to many other bands who said they will never stop performing together and still did (such as One Direction), but maybe the sad news with the Jonas Brothers is that the reason behind their longevity is that all three of them have no talent and thus do not even see how forgettable their music is. I have seen other music videos, heard other songs and I think they were just as bad. Oh by the way, completely unrelated, the pretty famous actor Matthew Modine is in here too. So if you like him, you can watch this too, but as I said: Do yourself a favor and mute. There is nothing at all about this project I can positively recommend. Oh well, maybe the choreography is not all bad. Major thumbs-down nonetheless. Oh and boo to the MTV Video Music awards for giving further attention to this mess. Says it all about popular music these days and about the weak state MTV has turned into.
