"Jurassic World: The Ride" is basically what the title says, namely a (not so) little video they came up with on the occasion of a new spectacular theme park ride. And "spectacular" is really the right word because that is exactly what it looked like. The dino effects were marvelous. However, if we are talking motion picture, the mere video connection is not too massive because you hear voices (not sure if they belong to the cast) and only see Chris Pratt very briefly as he gives out some instructions. So while I thought the ride was alright thanks to the dinos and these seven minutes or so are definitely worth it, I'd give the right only two stars out of five from the film perspective because this is what we are rating here on imdb. However, there is a preshow video that runs for a massive 20 minutes and that is the reason why I add another two stars. I guess this is also what the title here on imdb refers to because that is where you get to see Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong. Neither has that much screen time, but that is okay. It worked and made sense how they included them on the occasion of a (staged) news broadcast that basically takes us into the world of Jurassic Park once more. As for the trio (there are other actors too that are not listed here on imdb, probably because they are not part of the movie(s)): Pratt I find really overexposed now. I liked him early on in his career, but things have gotten out of hand. BDH I have no strong feelings about her whatsoever. Wong I am undecided too, probably more on the negative side, but I find it interesting how first Simmons had his huge success, even an Oscar win, and Wong is doing great as well now almost at the age of 60 with his recent Emmy nomination and with being part of this huge franchise here. If you don't see the connection there, let me help you: Of course, I am talking about actors who portrayed psychologists on L&O SVU. Okay, I realize myself I am drifting a bit away now. I am not a huge fan of Jurassic Park or Jurassic World, at least not as much as some of the others, but this one here was alright. I give it a thumbs-up and it's a fine little addition that deserves to exist and is also not the worst choice to be put on a DVD or BluRay of some kind. But probably only one for fans and it won't turn you into a fan if you weren't one before already. Nonetheless, it is among the better theme park shows I have come across, so after a little hesitation early on, this one gets a positive recommendation from me. Go check it out. If only they had another lead actor. His comedy part at the end bombing BDH's character's interview is very much on the embarrassing side again.
