Sophie brings a model boat to Paul. She has noticed the others in the office and figures this is going to be a parting gift for Dr. Weston. What she does not count is that her therapy is far from being over. There is a lot of work still to be done if she wants to regain some semblance of normalcy in her young life.

What this session does for the young woman is, that without even thinking, she comes clean with a hidden side of her she never had revealed up to this point, but Dr. Weston had probably figured it was there, almost on the surface to come out.

Sophie talks about a vacation trip to New York where she was taken with her parents. She claims feeling bad during the family stay in Manhattan. Right after being home, the parents told her one day they were divorcing, something that she thought was coming. His father returned to New York with his new, much younger, wife. Sophie was asked to live with him, for a while, but she never agreed.

What follows is her confession of the relationship with Cy, and his wife, Darlene, and their daughter Dana. She was allowed to stay with them. Cy's wife decided to go to Wisconsin, leaving the impressionable Sophie at her house. The intimacy grew and one day, the inevitable happened. Cy and Sophie had sexual intercourse, much against his better judgment. Sophie thinking she is wanted by the older man, felt she could have him, but when Darlene returned, she must have figured what had gone up in her absence.

The tearful confession of Sophie was unexpected. Paul asks her when did she feel happy with her own life and she clearly answers, during her gym routine, something that consumes her life. Sophie asks to be excuse to go to the bathroom. Paul hears a crashing sound, as though something has fallen inside. When he opens the door, he sees two broken pictures on the floor. Sophie is feeling anger as she steps into the office again, and as the session ends, Paul sees her off. After that he calls Sophie's mother because he feels he must talk to her.

This is the first episode of the 2008 season not directed by Rodrigo Garcia. Chris Missano, a man that has worked in a lot of successful series, was in charge for this chapter. Sarah Treem, a frequent contributor, wrote the screenplay. This was a highly charged installment because of Sophie's admission that proves to have a dramatic effect. A wonderful Mia Wasikowska does well with her take on Sophie and Gabriel Byrne does his usual good job.
